Shane Procell Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Tyler Rahmer (Bass Resource Forum member) from Maryland got his wish fulfilled this week. He wanted to fish while on vacation and catch a trophy fish. Mission Accomplished! Both of these beautiful fish were taken on top water plugs. The 18# fresh water snook took 7 minutes to land and the 7# peacock bass hit like a freight train. We fished a bout 6 hours and caught about 20 peacock and the snook. What a day! The video now appears on page two of this thread. From earlier in the week. My personal best 5 1/2# peacock. 7 Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted September 2, 2013 Super User Posted September 2, 2013 Snook definitely go airborn. Not been the best snook season so far but I've caught a few 15-20#, killed them everday this week, mostly smaller ones. People don't realize that there is an underwater calender and the snook look at at, season opened yesterday and I didn't have 1 strike..........lol. Quote
I.rar Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Wow, very nice. It's good to see someone's getting those peas. Where were they in relation to the bank? The past couple times I've went out, I've only seen a couple 2#ers in the shallows along with a few smaller ones. Quote

My boat took a 7 pounder last week and a 6 1/2 pounder last year. The client was pretty excited. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted September 6, 2013 Super User Posted September 6, 2013 Those are some great looking fish! Quote
Super User geo g Posted December 9, 2013 Super User Posted December 9, 2013 Great to live in South Florida. Beautiful peacock Shane, its amazing how they fight and how hard they hit a bait. You know the second they hit its not another black bass but rather something special. So glad they a coming back after the cold spell several years ago. Quote
Shane Procell Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Here is the video of the 18# Snook hitting a top water plug and a 7# Peacock hitting the same plug. This video is made for pure enjoyment and in no way is advertiseing for any other purpose. Quote
