Taking the family to the Bass Pro Shop in Concord Mills (Charlotte) NC tomorrow. I went for the first time last year and loved it. Our daughter and my wife and her parents are going tomorrow for their first time. :-)

Hopefully good Labor Day sales. ;-)

Even though I don't buy much (because my garage already looks like a BPS) I still enjoy my BPS trips.

Now that they have the restaurants in them, we make it a little family trip and eat lunch there too.

The kids love it.

Yours too? ;)

The BP here has all kinds of video games. My son does little odd jobs around the house before we go to earn quarters. He loves the fish tanks and stuffed animals. He will climb in every boat and sit I every seat too lol

I just got back from BPS as well. I don't get there often as it's over 3 hours away but have family that lives there which means visiting them always means i get to go.

The restaurant in Bolingbrook IL has terrible service. Food is decent but almost never right and about 30 min late every time. I still love going there to shop. It's nice to have one close by.

The one we are going to in Concord NC has "uncle bucks". It's a really big snack shop. Has tables and stuff. Sandwiches, hot dogs, I've cream, etc. The food is great there too.

I have only ate at the BPS in Bolingbrook one time.

We had to wait a little bit for the food but nothing terribly long that I can recall. We weren't

there at a really busy time either though.

Actually that is probably my least favorite of all of the BPS stores that I have been to. I just

didn't like the layout or anything.

Just got back from there today. While the wife and son went to ikea for furniture shopping for him I got out and headed to bass pro. I enjoy going and looking around and concord mills is one of the nicer ones I've been too (3 total). Although other than a few plastics in different colors, I never walk out with much because it just seems that I can buy the same thing at a different store for much cheaper. Case in point BPS was selling the berkley line spooling station for $33 and I just bought one at a different store for $24, and no it wasn't on sale. Just wish BPS would get their prices more in line and it would be the ultimate store.

Be thankful it's far enough away you have to plan a special trip there. I have 2 Bass Pros, Cabela's, 1 Academy and soon to be another, all within 30 minutes of my house :( Probably why my back always hurts, I can't ever get the monkey off of me.

I have a BP 1/4 mile from where I work, and an Academy 2 miles from my house. I pass Dicks and another Academy on my way home from work.......Your pain is felt lol

The BPS in Independence, MO has a BIG picture window, basically the southern side of the store.   It just makes the light in the whole store weird.  I've bought things that I thought were brown in the store and brought them home and they were olive green.  Trying to compare different colors of soft plastics in different aisles in a pain because in different aisles, with varying degrees of light - cloud cover - etc., the light is just different.

Check out the BPS catalog before you go. The store will honor any prices in the catalog and the Berkley and BPS spooling stations retail for $24 in the catalog.

Love the avatar! Looking forward to some smack in the SEC SEC SEC thread from the Clepson fans.

Nice victory over Jawja. Which team do you think will beat Clepson and knock them out of the BCS title talk? Post in the SEC SEC SEC thread.

My BPS is 5 min. from the lake I fish, which is both convenient and dangerous....lol.

I love getting to go to BPS. I have a monthly meeting in Denver I have to go to, so I leave a little early to go at least walk around and look. I live about 2.5 hours north of there, so I get it when I can. Glad to hear you had fun.

I've noticed this problem at that store also. I just open the packs and pull one out to further examine it, hold it up in the light, etc.
