Super User Redlinerobert Posted August 30, 2013 Super User Posted August 30, 2013 No way. You aren't going anywhere. Heck there are plenty of people whose post don't make any sense. Far less sense than yours! Just because you are not going to be on the water doesn't mean you cannot be a part of this community. I refuse. Get off the Cool-aid and come back tomorrow when you are in your right mind! Jeff I couldn't agree more! Take my posts for instance. Sometimes even I don't know what the heck I'm talking about! I think you're missing the point of this place. It's not just about fishing. It's about the comradery. heck I've not fished at all since I sold my boat and you guys still aren't getting rid of me. . I also hope you change your mind. You've been a constant on this site and I appreciate your posts. Whatever you decided, you're solid in my book. 1 Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted August 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 30, 2013 Couple of posts mentioning family, it's odd how "tight nit", I think that is how it is put into words, a group of people can be and still not have spoken a word to each other. RNF, dude !!, I feel your pain, the only thing I can tell you is that it does get better, there is a light, although you may have to travel a great distance to reach it, I wish nothing but the best for you and your family, god bless you and thoughts and prayers are with you all for sure. I have a Wounded Warrior Event Sept. the 14th, my first time on my boat in over a year, I think about problems all the time, like you and I have and problems like we have here in the US, 2 things I am very passionate about, Children and our Soldiers, visit a childrens hospital, talk to our soldiers who are going through something so different than you or I could ever imagine, and the bravery on both parts is incredibly profound, it really puts things in perspective for me anyway. There comes a time when for some we must unwind if you will, a way to recenter and refocus, and shed some weight , a time to set a goal and realize the sacrifices that one must make in order achieve. I will be happy to share my Wounded Warrior experience on the water with you all in a couple of weeks, good or bad, after that I promise to do my best to get back as soon as possible. Thanks to all for the well wish's and we will see you in a couple of weeks !!! Glenn, I never knew you were an Eagles fan ???? Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted August 30, 2013 Super User Posted August 30, 2013 My homie, I ain't bass fish but maybe once a month now. My life has gone completely and utterly to hell. My finances are in shambles. I have NO credit anymore, identity thieves would cry if they stole my identity. I'm having to foreclose and leave my condo and lose eight years worth of equity. All so I can move into a minority filled apartment complex while we get back on our feet. My Granddaddy in law is dying now. He is my only fishing buddy that loves the sport as much as I do. Plus to boot I'm stuck at a wretched company that pays their electricians subpar wages. This site has been one of the only things keeping me sane through all this. I'm not trying to compare problems or make your seem trivial. It sucks when you catch a God smack. Keep your head up brother. You got friends here. You know where to find us if you decide to leave. Plus half my post are incoherent ramblings and mutterings. I'm saving this post for whenever I feel down. Quote
Traveler2586 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 ....................... I'd be more than happy to take a Wounded Warrior fishing but don't know how to hook up with them or the program. Any suggestions? 1 Quote

Super User .ghoti. Posted September 1, 2013 Super User Posted September 1, 2013 I am sorry to hear that there's something going on in your life that will keep you away from the best place on the web. But, I'm betting that whatever it is, you can whup it's a$$. When you do, and have taken your victory lap, come back. Like the goofy guy says, " we'll keep the light on for ya". Quote
