I was feeding the bait monkey the other day when I met another lost soul shopping in the crankbait aisle (Rapalas were 20% off).  He is standing there with bags and bags of soft plastics cradled like a baby in his arms.  I am staring at some Rattlin Rapalas and the lost soul comes over and mentions that one must get the new minnow rap (the only lure excluded from the sale).   He says that the wobble makes it a killer lure.  I see him pick up several minnow raps.  The bait monkey finishes his work with one and plants seeds with another in one swoop.   ;D

Anyone have experience with this lure?

They look good but I have only seen them in catalogs.  They don't carry them around here.  Guess I'll have to wait until the first Southern California BPS opens this fall.

When I finally got one I threw it allot but never once got bit. Somewhere I just recently read that it's an excellent waleye lure. Maybe that why I didn't get one bite, no waleyes where I fish(LOL). I will use it this year but if I still don't get bites it goes to the kids.

I've seen them a lot but they looked more like trolling baits for walleye than bass baits. I'm sure you could catch bass on it, but I didn't think it looked like something I needed. Especially since I usually don't really fish water that is very deep.

I got two of them this winter, one Bleeding Olive Flash, and one Perch. They are supposed to be a cross between the original floater and the Shad Rap. Since they are two of the most productive lures I've ever owned, I figured a hybrid should be pretty good. I'll keep you posted once my season starts.
