Super User Sam Posted November 15, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 15, 2013 Hey Preach, I have no idea what is being reported where. Â I received an email with an interesting story about the behind the scene activities at Texass which I have no idea if they are true or not. Â I do remember Satan saying he was staying at LSU and that weekend he flew to Miami on the Miami Dolphins owner's private jet to discuss that job and then when he was with the Dolphins saying he was not going to Bamasux. Â So for Satan to keep his mouth shut says something. Like Jimmy Sexton telling him to be quiet and Sexton will handle all negations so Satan can honestly say he has not spoken to the Longhorns. Â Nothing to happen until after the BCS championship game, if anything happens at all. Â Just too much smoke from various sources so there could be some fire somewhere along the line. Quote
preach4bass Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I don't doubt that he would leave Alabama for Texas. But, why? He's got a great program on top of the college football world. He's loved by the fans. What does Texas offer that Alabama doesn't? It can't be more money or better recruiting. Does he just want the challenge of resurrecting another program? More money, weaker conference, no conf title game, McCarron is a Sr, easier to recruit, etc, etc, etc.   Plus, he prob feels sorry for the rest of the SEC since he has pretty much owned the conf since he has been in it. Might as well give someone else a chance and go dominate the Big 12. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 18, 2013 Super User Posted November 18, 2013 It's GOOD being King....VERY good. Â How will MIzzou winning the BCS effect the deciioin? Â Â Â Â Â Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted November 18, 2013 Super User Posted November 18, 2013 Its money related. Probably fringe benefits too. Everything he does is money related. He don't care about Bama. He cares about the money. Excuse me. His wife cares about the money. They are extremely close to my aunt and uncle. Quote

He is doing work for Blake and Miranda at their place in Tishimingo. Miranda told him about this surround sound system that she wanted wired up on her back porch, Blake asked Thomas "How much is that gonna cost me?" Miranda looked at him and said "Why do you care, you're rich" Blake said "Oh yeah" Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted November 22, 2013 Super User Posted November 22, 2013 Missouri at Ole Miss this weekend. I'm looking for another Tiger win, but it should be close. Super User Chris at Tech Posted November 24, 2013 Super User Posted November 24, 2013 LSU made it look easy today. So did Georgia Southern 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 24, 2013 Super User Posted November 24, 2013 Ole Miss played with a lot of heart last night. Â Next week it's Mizzou vs A&M. A win takes the Tigers to Atlanta, the SECÂ play-off and a step closer to the National Championship! Â Â Â Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 27, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 27, 2013 Yes, Mizzou is one of the best surprises of the season. They visit Tiger Stadium next year and I know that place will be rocking when they show up. Bowl games will be interesting since they are based on how many fannies you can put in the stands and not your ranking or won-lost record. LSU is probably headed back to the Cotton Bowl as Jerry Jones loves to host LSU and their crazy fans. LSU will probably play either Baylor or Oklahoma. I hope it is Oklahoma. Love beating Oklahoma. Mizzou may or may not end up in a BCS game. Depends on the Sugar Bowl and who they want. South Carolina is one of the top traveling teams in the SECÂ so don't be surprised to see South Carolina or Mizzou vs. Northern Illinois in New Orleans. This weekend's games will set the stage for the end of the season so stay tuned. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 29, 2013 Super User Posted November 29, 2013 Good game going on right now...AR vs LSU. Â Tomorrow it's Auburn vs Bama and Mizzou vs A &M. The National Championship is on the line! Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 30, 2013 How about dem Tigers? Â Spitfire out. Freshman backup QB comes in. Â Ball on LSU's half yard line. Â Two minutes to go in the game. Â And bam!!! Long touchdown pass to take the lead. Â And bam!!! Defense finally gets Ark-Kansas QB and they make him fumble and the game is over and.... Â THE FIGHTING TIGERS WIN!!! Â Now on to the Cotton Bowl??? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Congrats to LSU, but the little piggies might not belong in the SEC. That was the most despicable performance I can remember in a long time. I had no dog in the hunt, but I thought the Razzorbacks might have shown a little pride and won one SEC victory. Their last minutes were just embarrassing!  Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Dammit! I missed the game. Quote

Their last minutes were just embarrassing!    Are you kidding me? Ark played their best game of the year. They had a legitimate shot at winning. Coming from someone whose team is first year in the SEC, you shouldn't be saying a team with over 20 yrs in the SEC shouldn't be there. When the 3rd tigers of the SEC have won their side 4 times, then you can talk.  Jeff 1 Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 As much as I hate to agree with RW, I think he's right. Arkansas should be competing in the Big 12. The Big 12 is composed of a number of teams who are almost, but not quite, good enough to compete in the SEC. Occasionally, a Big 12 team can hold its own in the SEC, but not often. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 30, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Long Mike, Ark-Kansas will be back.  But you are correct. It is still unusual to see Missouri, A&M and Ark-Kansas in the SEC.  Florida State, Clepson, Virginia Tech would have been better selections. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Quick Google search for where does the south begin: Â Â Â Â Â Apparently Missouri doesn't belong! Â Â Jeff Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Houston Nutt 1998–2007 75–46 Bobby Petrino 2008–2011 34–17   So with the exception of the last 2 years without a coach and then with a first year coach, Arkansas is 109- 63  IN THE SEC. With 3 SEC west champs.    Missouri is 100- 73 in the Big 12....guess they should have stayed there!!!  Jeff Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 30, 2013 Super User Posted November 30, 2013 Point taken. Just a tough year.  As for Missouri, I'm just pleasantly surprised. Today is important to their program and making it to Atlanta would be something. Just being in the mix with Auburn or Alabama would be a treat for us. 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted December 1, 2013 Super User Posted December 1, 2013 Oh no! What are SEC fans going to do now? Probably cheer for FSU since they are in the "south east" and claim to somehow be apart if it. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 1, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 1, 2013 Yes. If Awbunn or Mizzou does not make it we always cheer for the southern teams. Â Am I unhappy that Bamasux lost? Â Nope. Very happy. Â The loss will now shut up the Bamasux fans who have been a pain in the fanny all season with their arrogance. Â Geaux Tigers! Quote
