I've been all over the country and Oklahoma is actually much better than some of the places I have visited. I like Texas and Colorado as well. Of course I'm sure you have never been to Oklahoma, it's easy to talk bad about a place when you can't see past your liver becuse your head is so far up your a**. Typical SEC fan, just another D-Bag.

I have been to Oklahoma. Had relatives in Tulsa. Went to the state fair and had a blast. Also drove up to see my first hockey game when I was driving through the area while in the army.  The people were very nice and we had a great time.

Also be to Iowa. Had a blast. Never saw so many big pigs in my life. You could stand by the fence and look at them eye ball to eye ball. And the beautiful wheat fields were something everyone needs to see.

Just wanted you to know, one D-bag to another !!!!!

I'm not worried about having a team. I'm just a fan. I actually could care less whether or not OU wins or loses. I actually created the name jbsoonerfan back in 2000 when I was attending the University of Oklahoma. I had to pick a name that nobody else had, so this is what I came up with. It has just kind of stuck since, it is never in use and I can use the same one on every forum. If you will notice, I have not once bragged on OU or anything of the sort. I'm just a regular guy who happens to like a school. I suppose you wouldn't know what that is like because you are an SEC fan who pretty much lives through your team(or conference) of choice. Back when I started really watching college football (1988 ish) I wasn't aware LSU even had a team. In fact, LSU was TERRIBLE till the 2000's, but that's just how stupid you guys are. You want to hang your hat on 2 NC's in the last 50 years. If you want to get all technical about it, OU, Bama, USC and ND are the kings of college football, but I have NEVER brought up the past (or the present for that matter) You can continue to be a delusional LSU fan and I will continue to be a casual OU fan. You Sir are the one who makes yourself look like a fool every time your fingers hit the keyboard.

Now, go look up some stupid statistics that further prove your point of how great LSU is without winning anything meaningful.

Every time an SEC fan posts, it just further proves my point.

I was at the OU/Bama game in Norman in 2003 and the Bama people were great, probably a reason there aren't a bunch of Bama guys in here running their mouth. Just a bunch of guys hoping Bama wins another NC so they can chant SEC, SEC, SEC, like a bunch of morons.

Boomer Sooner you can't stand it cause your team is Choke-La-Homa so all you can do is deny being a fan.

Oh by the way it's 3 National Championships!

The SEC has 4 teams in the top 10 & the little 12 has how many?

The more you post the more you look like an idiot. I said 2 NC's in the last 50 years. LSU won a NC in 1958 and has won 2 since then. Therefore that is 2 in the last 50 years.

There you go again rooting for a conference, which I never claimed to do. In fact, I claimed only SEC fans do that, because they just aren't real smart.

Maybe you should start arguing with someone who never made it past the seventh grade, then you might be the smartest person in the conversation.

I understand your frustration, Bob Stoops has brought OU nothing but embarrassment!

2007 Fiesta Bowla loss to Boise St on national tv

0-3 in BCS championships

7-7 in bowl games

All ya have is the pathetic Red River Rivalry

No wonder ya deny being a fan, admit to nothing, & make accusations.

Frustrating being a Boomer Sooner ;)

A casual OU fan?  Casual fans don't write four paragraphs debating college football on a fishing forum.

I'm a HUGE sports fan, never denied that. I will argue NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA Basketball, NCAA Football, or anything else. I'm just not a HUGE OU fan. Sorry you can't understand that. This thread is a perfect example of people assuming things that they know nothing about.

No, Schnelly brought OU nothing but embarrassment.

BTW, OU is 1-4 in BCS NC's. Just another fact you got wrong.

BTW, that 1-4 is one win in four trips. Didn't know if you would understand that.

Somebody done and come down with a bad case of "I'm the smartest guy in the room" syndrome.

.

Not real hard to be the smartest person in a group full of SEC fans.

You guys do a pretty good job of proving that point.

That statement alone shows gross lack of intelligence. Its good to know you have met all of the SEC fans in this country. Funny...I don't remember us meeting. To categorically say that you are intellectually superior to SEC fans is idiotic, childish, and just plain stupid.

I'm not a SEC, Big 12, ACC, PAC 10 or whatever fan. I like football plain and simple. Watching this thread has provided comic relief. Sooner even accused me of being a SEC fan on a different thread, because I wrote that the GA LSU game was a good game with two dynamic offenses. With that said there are some reasons to support the conference your favorite team is in. College football is a big money maker, the money is supposed to go toward the athletic programs, scholarships etc. Every school in the SEC right now is befitting from the success the SEC is enjoying. BCS bowl games produce revenue not only for the two teams playing but also every school in the conferences represented receive revenue. The more bowl games your conference wins the more money each school receives. This is one reason you see so many changes going on in the conferences lately. WVU is now part of the Big 12, the main reason is the school wanted the increased revenue as the Big East conference was and is going downhill. Pulling for your conference doesn't make u ignorant, in fact its smart.

Unless you see that one team in a conference is starting to dominate and get all the good recruits. But that hasn't happened recently has it? There isn't a team that could possibly win 3 BCS titles in a row and 4 in the last 5 years is there?

That's the reason I don't want OSU, Texas, etc to win a BCS title, they have a better chance of pulling recruits away from OU. Especially since OU and OSU recruit the state of Texas heavily. I could personally care less how much money OU makes a year. They certainly aren't hurting for any.

JB, with Dodds on the way out at Texas and Oliver Luck from West Virginia being listed as first on Texas' list of Athletic Directors to succeed Dodds, good ole Mack Brown may be on his way out after this season.

Brown has only so much equity in the bank since his 2005 BCS championship and most of it has been used up these past three years.

With the rise of Texas A&M; the power of Oklahoma; the up and coming OSU program; and the LSU/Arkansas recruiting, Texas does not control the state any longer. These five schools, plus TCU, have taken many of the top Texas players away from Texas. In the past that would never happen.

It will be interesting to see who is selected to replace Brown or if Brown manages to retain his position as his ship is sinking.

And you are on target about the BCS and other bowls and the money flowing in. Add in the Big 10, Texas and SEC networks and you have a fortune to share among schools. That is why Vandy will not leave the SEC - the money is too easy and too good.

Good post. Now to see if OU can make it back to the BCS title game.

Sam,

I hope Texas leaves Ollie Luck alone, we (Mountaineers) need him right where he is. Dana Holgorsen is another story, take him lol. Rich Rodriguez is probably looking for a job......

I think OU is a couple years away. They are young and going to Waco on a Thursday night looks to me like a tough game. Who knows though, they could get beat this Saturday. I have seen them beat on Owen field by TCU before. I'm just glad Boynkin is playing QB. He's not near as good of a passer.
