Super User clayton86 Posted August 27, 2013 Super User Posted August 27, 2013 Looks like just a baby toad they are all over here in WNY Quote
Super User MCS Posted August 27, 2013 Super User Posted August 27, 2013 It is deffinitely a toad, head shape, skin, and the glands on the head are all toad features. There are only 3 toads listed for Jersey....Coloring looks closest to a Eastern Spadefoot in my non-professional opinion. Quote
MitchTBF Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Wow, awesome. You know, I automatically assumed it was a frog. Live and learn !! Thank you Quote

Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted August 29, 2013 Super User Posted August 29, 2013 I've heard frogs legs are delicious and taste like chicken. Never had the opportunity to try them for myself though. Looks like they got a lot of good meat on em'. Quote

They're usually a little bit more greasy, and the texture is slightly flakey, almost like fish, but not quite. They are quite yummy. I do suggest trying them if you have the opportunity. LC 1 Quote
