Hi,

Anyone know what type this is ? I was checking online but couldn't match it up with anything except maybe a Cricket Frog. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !! (BTW this is in centralish N.J.)

Thanks !!

It is deffinitely a toad, head shape, skin, and the glands on the head are all toad features.

There are only 3 toads listed for Jersey....Coloring looks closest to a Eastern Spadefoot in my non-professional opinion.

Wow, awesome. You know, I automatically assumed it was a frog. Live and learn !!

Thank you

I've heard frogs legs are delicious and taste like chicken.  Never had the opportunity to try them for myself though.  Looks like they got a lot of good meat on em'.

Of all the animals that people tell you taste like chicken, I've found that frog legs truly do taste pretty much just like chicken. They're usually a little bit more greasy, and the texture is slightly flakey, almost like fish, but not quite. They are quite yummy. I do suggest trying them if you have the opportunity.
