MIbassin Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Hey guys- What do you think is the best knot for tying monofilament main line to a fluorocarbon leader or wire leaders that you can tie Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted August 27, 2013 Super User Posted August 27, 2013 Mono to FC, I use an alberto knot. Just make sure you lube the knot well before cinching. I do not use wire leaders, can't help you there. Quote

Diablos Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I use the Alberto knot for joining light lines such as 6lb to 10lb flouro leader I use a regular albright knot for joining wire leaders because the wire can get bulky I use a back-to-back uni-knot if I'm joining lines of a similar size such as 50lb braid and a similar diameter flouro leader. Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 28, 2013 Super User Posted August 28, 2013 I normally crimp my wire leaders or use a haywire twist. I have not used tie-able wire but my gut tells me to use a swivel. For line joining or attaching a leader I go with an alberto, seems to be the best and easiest that I've used. Quote
