soccplayer07 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 What is your favorite jig trailer when you are looking for action? I really like the rage chunk but they price point is quite high. Any good alternatives? Keep in mind I'm looking for action. Thanks. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 Net Bait Paca Chunk and Zoom ultravibe/super speedcraw. Quote
soccplayer07 Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 I have a bunch of netbait which i love but the action in my opinion doesn't even compare. Quote
BassThumb Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Paca or Chigger. I believe the Paca puts off more vibration, while the Chigger has a faster paddle. Quote
Brian4618 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 When I dont use a RT baby craw, I like using the Zoom Creepy Crawler (double tail grub), not sure if it has the action your looking for but the legs put off a lot of vibration and movement. They are also very easy on your wallet like all Zoom products. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 Yeah, any double tail grub will give you great action. Yamamoto makes a good DT grub. Quote
s13john Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 zoom ultra vibe craw/super speed craw http://www.***.com/Zoom_Super_Speed_Craw_4_8pk/descpage-ZSSDC.html#multiview Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 When I need more action I always go to a Rage Tail Chunk. Nobody can beat the kick of those claws. And I remember reading somewhere that the price was supposed to drop this year. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 And I remember reading somewhere that the price was supposed to drop this year. Big-O, whats the deal on that one? Cheaper is better! Quote
adclem Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I use Berkley Chigger Craws and Crazy Leg Chigger Craws. The YUM Money craw is also very good. Later, Quote
mainebassin650 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I use Zoom Super Speed Craws for high action, Zoom Super Chunks when I want to tone it down some. Quote
90x Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I ignore action most of my success has come on just trying different lures. I normally fish muddy water. I just have faith in confidence in baits and they work. My most successful trailer has been the YUM Wooly bug. It has little action but catches me fish. I rely on the big skirt to attract the fish and the trailer is only there as a target to hit. Quote
fishermantony Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 My favorite spinnerbait trailer is a Mister Twister G grub, it has great action and I think it will work great for a jig too. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to spend a few extra cents on the BEST baits, with the BEST action, and catch the better fish, but that's just me. Chunk, Baby Craw, Craw, Lobster... those are the best for for action. Quote
fishincop640 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Rage chunk, Rage baby craw or Rage craw in any color.....fish here love a PB&J jig with a blue ragetail chunk!! Thank you Big-O....I owe you my second born child!! HAHAHA....ok, maybe not. Quote
Blue Streak Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 My favorite for a lot of action is the Paca craw. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 Rail Tail Chunk, Baby Craw, Craw, Lobster, Hawg, Smokin' Rooster, Space Monkey, & Zoom Swimmin Chunks! There's just something about the Zoom Swimmin Chunks in the dead of winter! Quote
