trupp30 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Has anyone tried the new backslide soft baits from Berkley? The principle behind them is interesting and seems like it would be effective. However, I have yet to try them and am wondering if any of you know if the work. Thanks. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted August 27, 2013 Super User Posted August 27, 2013 I bought a pack and I have to say I was a bit disappointed in them. Yes they are dual density baits but the difference in the weight IMO is marginal. I rigged it weightless on a 2/0 EWG light wire hook and the slide back is marginal at best. I'm still working the lure so the jury is still out but my initial impressions is I still prefer the Zoom Fish Doctor and a finishing nail. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted August 27, 2013 Super User Posted August 27, 2013 Rig many (probably most) plastic baits with a nail in the tail and you find it will fall backwards. oe 1 Quote
