I seen twice now a solid jet black woodchuck/groundhog. I've been trying to get a pic of it but its always by the road and all I have is my phone. Any one else seen a solid black chuck or any other animals with a odd or different color phase

One night when I was 18 I saw a tie dyed unicorn, but the poor thing was eaten by the polka dot dragon. No matter how hard I tried, never saw them again.

Local paper had a pic of a kid with an albino groundhog he shot.  Never even heard of one before. Pretty creepy looking honestly.

This black one looks cool if he makes it another 3' on the other side of the tree row I might take him out with a set of coopers so I can get it mounted lol. I'd be afraid tk shoot it when I go hunting for them. I use a .243 hand loaded at 4047fps(chrono) with 55gr noslers they tend to make a mess. I'd want it mounted other wise I'm ok with red mist.

No but I did see an albino squirrel up in Wisconsin earlier this year. That was a first for me.

You sure it wasn't a beaver? Sometimes those things aren't the expected color.

Ive seen 2 or 3 like that. Gray foxes can also get midnight black. I had a deer hang out by my stand once that the body wasn't much bigger than a beagle. I don't know if there are midget animals or not but that thing was odd.

There's a jet black squirrel that hangs around a church yard down the road. I've seen him a few times. Pretty cool looking critter.
