I have a Pflueger Echelon reel that is about 3 years old.  The levelwind gets stuck when it reaches the left end of the worm guide and won't move back right unless I push it with my finger.  I've tried basic cleaning and lubrication and that doesn't help.  I've had baitcasters for 30 years and never had this problem.  Any suggestions?  Thank you any and all for your ideas.   Brian

The level wind worm gear and pawl need to be replaced. They are a high wear item but if worn out the whole reel could probably use a cleaning. If you'd like to send it in be sure to include your forum screen name for a 10% discount.

Basic cleaning?

To properly clean that module you need to remove it from the reel,

which means proper full service no quick way around it...............:Victory:
