I have previously purchased 2 hawgtech handles.  They were both the straight handles with cork knobs and they looked great on my Cores.  Recently, I received and email saying they now had swept handles.  Obviously, my interest was piqued as I wanted longer handles for both my Chronarch D and Daiwa Zillion Crazy Cranker.  Add in the new anodized parts in various colors boom, the tackle monkey needs something new.  One email question later and email placed.

Handle came in 2 days and uh oh, it doesn't fit my crazy cranker.  Quick email confirms that I received the wrong handle.  What did Hawgtech do?  Offered to send me a new handle, pre-paid envelope and give me a deal on another handle if I was interested.  Well for the right deal, you know I was.  A few emails back and forth and boom, 2 handles on the way AND a free pair of the new ABEC 7 bearings for my trouble.  What a deal.

And the handles you say?  Well see for yourself.  They are SMOOTH looking and turning.

Do you have to email them to place an order and how did you get the shimano knobs?

Click on the sponsor link to the right of this page for HawgTech.  It takes you to their page.  Go to contact us and they have an email option.

The shimano knobs were offered as an option as they are the only other knobs that will fit the Hawgtech handle.  You can either have shimano knobs or the Hawgtech cork knobs which are also sweet.  For the swept handles and anodized parts you need to email them and ask.

I prefer the swept handles because they are longer and less bulky than the originals but that's just me.  What's even better is that the swept handles fit reels without a swept drag star like my chronarch D which is picture.  Really awesome looking

Thanks for your kind words gentlemen!

Being a small company with true fishermen and enthusiasts (Mike and I, lol) we realize what we would expect from a manufacture and pride ourselves in providing the best support for our customers.

As far as the "new" swept handle its not officially released yet, since we are working on updating our database with fitment guides and our website for new product release.

If anyone is interested in helping out with fitment of our new swept reel handles and you have a reel that we have not tested you could possibly qualify for a discount for your efforts.

Please send an Email to robert@hawgtech.com to see if you could help.

Thanks,

Robert

Grant,

Thanks for the generous comments.  Robert and I make a point of it to try and give you guys the best experience possible...even when we screw up!   :embarassed2:

That gold matches up really well with the accents on the Chronarch and that Dobyns extreme.  Good choice!  The blue matches the accents on your Dobyns champion also.

You've got some nice looking and great performing setups there!

Thank you guys for the great handles. The parts match perfectly and being the OCD type I had to match it up. You guys keep getting better

Yes they do. I have 7 or 8 of the original handles. I was able to work with Mike on a couple issues with reels they hadn't tested yet. The discount was more than generous and the service was great. I'd be on the swept handles except that would require my buying more reels.
