Um, yes, actually it is just a knife. last I heard there is no degree for knife sharpening. Malicisouly trying to damage property.  That made me lol.

So I just saw pictures of the knife.  I don't see anything wrong with it.  :)

You are right, there isn't a degree for knife sharpening, there also isn't a degree for taking a reel apart and lubing it.  So if a employee offered to lube up my Zillion, and then couldn't get it back together, or put it back together wrong, or ruined it,  then I should just turn the other cheek and not bring it to the attention to anyone?

It very well could have been an honest mistake, but for someone working in the knife department, NOT know what a serration is, is hard to believe.

Common sense.   Some people have it, some don't.

Common sense would dictate to leave/send a reel with someone that is known for fixing them.

Common sense would dictate for me to send my wife's Shun kitchen knives to someone that knows how to sharpen them.

In the case of this knife sharpening gone wrong, it was more an issue of practicality.  Didn't work out very well.

Except for some of us though.  We can see the humor in the situation.  :)

Guess Im not one of those that sees the humor.

If someone has the gall to offer a service, then they better know what they are doing. If they dont, bet your butt Ill call them out on it, and try to protect others in the future as well as reimburse my property.

Jeff, my friend, guess you are lacking common sense. Might need to send a PM to someone before making another decision. ;)

OK, knife is still in working order, just not the same working order as it was before.  Everyone got their laughs in, jokes made, inquiries, and concerns.  Most voiced their opinions and now we are just beating a dead horse. :horse:

This one has run its course!
