What hooks are you guys using? Weighted, unweighted, flipped? I have two packs in my bag for the past year and haven't even tried them but I'd like to give them a shot. Just wondering how everyone prefers to rig them.

Try wacky rigging it with a 1/0 wacky hook.  You can put a nail weight near the head of the ika so that it will fall body side down and the skirt will flare out.  The other way I rig it is texas rig with a 3/0 EWG hook.  The smaller hook actually gets me more fish instead of the larger 4/0

Perfect so 3/0-5/0 seems to work. I have plenty of the 3 and there all owner twistlocks. Excited to try them out. May have to try the wacky rig also.  Thanks

I use 3/0 or 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hooks, thin wire.

Rig the Fat Ika skirt forward, weightless and weedless. I fish it

on spinning tackle, Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6.

I 've experienced just the opposite. My hook set ratio really improved using the larger hook. :D
