ERTOMUDD Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Hey guys, I am new to the forums and this is my first post so try not to be to hard on me... haha jk. I recently went fishing with my fiance and she caught something on a simple bobber setup and a worm. When I went to help her, (she's terrified of handling the fish lol! but getting better.) I had no idea what it was. The first thing I thought was, a small perch? Maybe a small bass of somekind? Either way, this is probably obvious to a lot of you but to me, I am still thinking its a perch... right? lol. Anyway, thanks guys and I am looking forward to being apart of the forums. ** Sorry for the pic size, its the only one we took. Quote

ERTOMUDD Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Awesome, thank you so much. I googled different perches and still was unsure haha. Quote
wademaster1 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Yellow perch.....pretty sure, but the pic is small Quote
ERTOMUDD Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Sorry about that, it would have been a little bit bigger of a picture but I am having trouble keeping quality and size of picture without going over the 150kb file size limit :/ Quote
moguy1973 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Catch some bigger ones and fry them up. They are pretty good eating. They are in the same family as walleye and sauger. Quote
Super User Marty Posted August 21, 2013 Super User Posted August 21, 2013 It's not just the size of the picture. That individual fish's colors are somewhat muted. Quote
Kevin22 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 That is a very very pale yellow perch. I completely understand why you had trouble with it. Just wait until you hook one the size of the ones we catch ice fishing. 3 Quote
