burce Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Welcome, string. As for other soft plastics, I like Zoom Brush Hogs a lot (once again AB has them as Bush Bugs), and a lot of people love Rage Tail baits (I have tried the Space Monkey and Toad and like them both - but the word is all of their products are great). I always use a weightless t-rig with 3/0-5/0 offset hooks for my soft plastics depending on what bait and size I am using. I do this mainly for the rigs weedless qualities, and having no weight also gives the senkos that great fall that bass love For top water frogs, I know a lot of people love the Spro Bronzeye frogs, but I have yet to try them For other top waters - the Arbogast Jitterbug and Hula Popper are both good baits and are pretty popular. I'm not a crank bait guy so I'll leave that for someone else. Good luck! Quote
Scorcher214 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 You can not go wrong with 5" senkos. Also, some worms with a curly tail (Berkley Power worm 7"") with a 3/0 hook and a 1/16 oz . Also, 3/8oz spinnerbait in chartreuse is a good bet for catching fish. Quote

farmpond1 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 What kind've waters will you be fishing? Rivers? Ponds. Large impoundments? There is a huge choice of baits appropriate for covering the water column from top to bottom and I'd want to know more before answering your question. Quote
brushhoggin Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 copy that above me, but all you really need is a white crankbait, baby brush hog, and a frog, preferably by spro. ;D Quote
Steven Ladner Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Nice to see someone from this area on here. Black/blue flake or junebug colored Zoom trickworms work well for South MS. Welcome! Quote
Vinny Chase Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 And so it begins...Try anything that has the brand name ZOOM on it, they all work! Trick worms, ole monsters, ultra-vibe, etc. Quote
