In the end you won as many NC's during that span as University of Texas El Paso at San Antonio by the River Walk State. But hey, Auburn won one and Bama won the other two. So I guess that means you were apart of it. Just think, when Bama wins another one this year, you will be able to celebrate again. 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted September 5, 2013 Super User Posted September 5, 2013 BTW, since you asked....Here is OU 2010 = NO BCS Championship 2011 = NO BCS Championship 2012 = NO BCS Championship 2013 = Probably another year without one The results look pretty similar to LSU's 1 Quote
sbfishySC Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Touche on the city but... Awful stadium you say? Bad Surroundings? I present you all with this...Williams Brice Stadium and Gamecock Park. Before the new video board... Our new video board... Gotta love that SEC money... Well when you're less than 20 miles from the waste water treatment plant and city dump and can smell it while walking around the stadium, kind of ruins the experience. Not to mention being able to see it when in the upper deck of part of the stadium. Not gonna harp on the video board, that's obviously pretty good. That park I have not been to, haven't been on that side of the stadium since they did that, last time I was in that area was when it was still dirt fairground parking, pictures look decent, but outside of that one area, what's to look at? Bunch of old buildings. the colors also make me throw up in my mouth Quote

Sounds like you fit in perfect with the rest of the people in this world who want others to work harder so they can have a little piece of the pie. It's like NCAA welfare. Gotta love taking money you didn't earn. 1

From someone who lives about 10 min away from the stadium it's a horrible location. The facility itself is pretty nice. I have seen just about every square inch of the place Including the coaches box and locker rooms. You couldn't pay me to go down their on game night as the traffic is terrible on bluff road and generally more than one accident because of the cramped conditions. Oh yea lets not forget that they moved the farmers market 30 miles away out of town to make room for the new "park" costing many their jobs and lively hood. Gotta love that SEC money...... 1 Quote

SDoolittle Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Tennessee Vols: 2010: oregon, uf, lsu, uga, bama, sc 2011: bama, uf, uga, lsu, arkansas, sc 2012: bama, uf, sc, miss st, uga 2013: bama, oregon, sc, uga, uf Just sayin...some do. It's been a rough couple years as a Vols fan. That is a tough schedule, but it's not the same five teams we were talking about. Quote
SDoolittle Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 BCS National Championship Record LSU: 2 wins 1 loss OU: 1 win 3 straight losses Can we say Choke-La-Homa Saying that Oklahoma choked in that seven point loss to LSU would imply that OU was the better team in that game. Is that what you're trying to say? Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted September 5, 2013 Super User Posted September 5, 2013 BCS National Championship Record LSU: 2 wins 1 loss OU: 1 win 3 straight losses Can we say Choke-La-Homa I never once said OU had won more BCS NC than LSU. I was simply showing you how stupid your post was. No one cares who you play if you don't win the NC. BTW, I didn't come to this thread to brag on OU. Not a whole lot to brag about. I do think I have proved my point that most SEC fans don't have a clue. I hope Bama just keeps beating up on you guys. You can take your SEC welfare and keep chanting SEC, SEC, SEC, like a bunch of dorks. Quote

aquaholic Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 The sec doesnt schedule anyone out of conference other than fcs teams. And its pretty easy to match lsus non conference wins. which is 1. They lost in their bowl game to clemson a non conference team. Or did you think that because alabama won, all sec teams won? still waiting for a reply to this one Quote
SDoolittle Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Aqua, as much as I hate to admit it, LSU has actually been pretty good about scheduling a few ranked nonconference opponents lately. Over the past few years, they've played TCU, WVU, and Oregon. They also have a home & home vs Oklahoma coming up in a few years. With that said, the team that routinely has one of the toughest nonconference schedules in all of college football is Oklahoma. This year is no different. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/bruce-feldman/22522143/top-10-toughest-non-conference-schedules-of-2013 Quote

When you tell someone that they must be a lazy welfare recipient who expect taxpayers to fund their life because they have conference pride, well thats a personal attack.
Super User Catt Posted September 6, 2013 Author Super User Posted September 6, 2013 2003 BCS NCG #1 OU vs #2 LSU The Sooners was the country's prolific offense, which had averaged 45.2 points & 461 yds. per game. LSU's #1 ranked defense held OU to 154 total yds (32 in the first half). Heisman QB Jason White completed 13 of 37 for 102 yds, sacked 7 times, & intercepted 2. Both of OU's TD`s came after LSU "gave" the ball up, OU's offense never got within field goal range. That's a choke or over rated! Quote
SDoolittle Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I agree with you, Catt. OU was clearly a better team, but they choked and let an inferior LSU team beat them. Quote
