Who Fishes The Havoc Pit Boss T Rigged?

I am messing around some with baits and bought several bags of the Havoc Pit Boss, I haven't been able to fish it yet due to the fact it started pouring the second I got it tied on so I ran for the truck and went home, but I have some 1/8th bullet weights that I think would pair well with the pit boss, so I rigged one up with a 4/0 hook and it looks like a pretty mean skipping flipping and pitching bait with a pegged weight, it can even be fished topwater like a frog I've been told.

 

Who fishes the PB and how do you do it?

I love the Pit Boss!!! Haha I rig it with a 3/16 ounce weight and Texas rig it and just throw it out there and burn it back to the boat pretty fast. Bass destroy it, I also flip with it or use it as a trailer.

Rage Rig them on a 4/0 1/4oz Stroker hook. They are tuff and can take numerous skips under docks and lots of punishment. I didn't like them as jig trailers due to not much action as compared to a craw

I fish them a lot with bullet weight and jika and rage rig... don't like them at jig trailers tho.. lately all my bass have came off a pit boss during the day

I fish it and caught a 5 pounder on it back in the spring. I fish it with a 4/0 hook and a 3/16 ounce bullet weight on it. On the pond I sometimes fish, they like the okeechobee craw color.

3/16 weight, 4/0 EWG hook. I throw it everywhere, rocks, brush, laydowns, etc., you name it. This has been my go to lure this year. Big Texan color has been working well along with Green Pumpkin. You can fish it fast and get those legs flopping or fish it like a worm. Both have worked for me. Good luck!

I use a 4/0 straight shank with a 1/2 or 3/8 tungsten....My favorite creature/beaver/flipping bait hands down...

I use it on a Gammy Jobe Hook, which is essentially a T-Rig. Works like a charm.

I use an Owner's sled head and I let it fall and bring it back like a spinnerbait I do color in the head with a black sharpy and have had the most luck with the lime-purple passion color

I caught my first bass on this lure texas rigged after I got off work tonight, was fishing from the bank, 1/8th oz pegged weight 4/0 EWG hook.

 

Pretty slow but hopping retrieve rising and falling until a 1 1/2 pounder knocked the hell out of it and destroyed the bait, knocked the pegged weight up the line and tore the bait, pretty fun, had another fish that I guess I set the hook to hard on get off, but it was dark and I decided to head home.

 

Exited to have found such a versatile bait, I will definitely continue to buy these, and I like the looks of the devil spear need to get a few packs of those.

i fish it t-rigged but weightless. im loving fishing all my plastics weightless for the most part the last couple of years. i love seeing my line take off sideways on that slow fall of weightless plastics

I like fishing plastics too, but for some reason they aren't biting them in my area.  They want reaction (Spinnerbait) and topwater when I catch them.  I haven't had a plastic fish (Ok, got 3 perch on a BPS Stiko, just no bass) for awhile.  It was tough the last couple days though, I believe it has to do with the weather change (After weeks of low 70s/high 60s it was hitting 80s the last few days.)  I'm just going to go all plastic this weekend and bring no spinnerbaits..lol Probably will get skunked.

I use it for punching quite a bit. Or pitching around docks and wood. Its a great little bait and the price point is a plus. Big fan of it.

why limit yourself? take the spinnerbaits too lol. i mostly fish plastics, but if theyre hitting something else better, then i wont hesitate to put them down for another lure...

Have the same problem! No confidence in my pit bosses by docks or anything but if I throw a 1/2oz spinerbait, I have been just catching them like crazy..

If you're in thick vegetation, just pinch off the flappers and voila, a streamlined bait that slides through the greenery. Put some Mega Strike on there and they're like greased pigs.

That's what I've been using. I wish Owner would offer those sled heads in painted heads. Once that Pit Boss is on the screw on shank, it'll catch fish until the legs are chewed off. It will not pull down the hook for anything.

Could always paint your own? Wouldn't cost much to get a couple tubs of powder paint and paint them.

I have considered this for some time now. I live in a condo and I'm not sure if it has the proper ventilation for powder paint fumes.
