Does anybody fish plastics on a skirtless jig? I have a jig that the skirt came off of, and Im thinkin about sticking a Kreature on it, and seeing how I do. Im going out in the morning, and Im between doing this, or a t-rig. What do you guys think?

I fish finesse worms on an open, long shank hook sometimes if cover is sparse. Otherwise a hula grub, twin tail grub, or a craw can all be good.

x2 hula grubs..  someone on here mentions taking a skirt off of a chatter bait and putting a fluke on. Only tried it once but I'm thinking that's going to catch a nice lunker in fall

It's like a Shakey head almost, just beefier. Not a great finesse presentation but awesome for flipping around timber and docks. I will usually put a Berkley Havoc pit boss on a jig head and fish it like a football head.

Thanks for all the input. I didnt make it out this morning, so Ill probably go out later today and try it. I have a few things I can try on the jig.

I prefer it with a Little Dipper.. But I'm sure any paddle tail soft swimbait will work.. You get the flash from the blade, the vibration from the blade and the wobble and action on the back end from the boot tail..

my dad showed me this trick with ZOOM dead ringers and sight fishing really shallow water with them. the dead ringer has enough action you can swim them really well and on a slow fall it will drive bass crazy. my $0.02

Rage Craw, Yum Crawbug, Brush Hogs, Biffle Bugs. One of these baits its always rigged on a naked jig head on my deck at all times.
