Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 14, 2013 Super User Posted August 14, 2013 Fished this lake a few years ago from shore during the white bass round up. I always wanted to get out there and see what I could do with swimbaits on that lake. Anyone live there and have a boat that wouldnt mind me tagging along sometime? Thank you in advance. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 19, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 19, 2013 No one? Really? Quote
Dramer77 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 im gonna have to look this up, never been to that lake.. ive fished a few placed in gettysburg Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 19, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 19, 2013 It's completely private in a gated community. Only boats registered to homeowners allowed on the lake. I have a relative that lives there, no boat though. Family reunion in the area this weekend so I'm going to see if he will walk me around the lake for a little bit. Shore pounding is better than nothing! Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 20, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 20, 2013 LOL, I gotta get on it myself first! Still havent heard from him so as of now I'm still dreaming. Quote

Shore pounding is better than nothing! Darn Private Lakes!!! I got towed at my own private lake the other day. Same rules too, only boats registered to homeowners are allowed on the lake, same goes for trailers I found out. Decided it wasn't worth the risk for any BR members, not like I know how they could tow a truck and trailor. I want out on a boat in Lake Linganore so bad. Just yesterday I heard about a guy who taxedermied not one, but two LM's over 10lbs with one which could have gone for a state record. But then again it's only heresay as there are no pics. I hope you manage to get out on that private lake. If it is as little pressured as mine, I am sure you will find the bite! Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 20, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 20, 2013 LOL, I'll be on Linganore at some point also. Quote
MARsSPEED Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Here is a pic from DNR earlier this year of what someone pulled out of Ling-a-nore. How much you think she weighed. Looks pretty darn close to 10lbs to me. My first fall season of fishing is coming and I can't wait! I need a boat!!! Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 20, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 20, 2013 I'll send you a PM with my email address. I can't see most pics at work, blocked by the filters. Maybe you can paste it in an email? Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted August 20, 2013 Super User Posted August 20, 2013 Looks like a big 8 or 9lber. Not very long but does have good girth. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 20, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 20, 2013 Looks like a big 8 or 9lber. Not very long but does have good girth. I guessed in the 7s also due to the short appearance. Good fish regardless. Quote
Dramer77 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 mars you need a boat..lol then you can invite me up to fish with you :-) need someone to take you picture holding a 10lber Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted August 22, 2013 Super User Posted August 22, 2013 I live there - and have a boat can't promise, but might be able to pull something off for a couple hours... -T9 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 22, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 22, 2013 I see you have Indiana listed as your location? I saw there is a Heritage Lake in Indiana. I'm talking about the one in Gettysburg, PA. Are we talking about the same place? Just clarifying. Thanks for posting. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted August 22, 2013 Super User Posted August 22, 2013 Oops - Heritage Lake, Indiana is also a private lake, and one of it's subdivisions is called "Gettysburg." Also has a great white bass run in the spring...and BR clumps Indiana in with the "northeast" reports. What are the odds? Guess I won't be able to help then Sorry - LOL Good luck though... -T9 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 23, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 23, 2013 It's cool man. Thanks for the offer though. Quote
