Daiwa Balistic 7'1 Mh For Deeper Cranks

my 7 MM rod aint cutting it. even if I find a 7-8 divng crank around 1/2 oz it still feel like I am pulling to much and the rod tip bends like crazy. thinking of getting the above title rod to throw 10-14 diving cranks. will it pull the duty of 1.5s to say Dt14s( I think they have dt14). the reel is a PQ 5 gear if ya need to know

You need better than a MM for deep divers, but you're still pulling too hard.  Speed isn't the key with the deep cranks. Slow it down.  Way down.  A MH/moderate rod, 7' or longer will do it.  You should just barely have a slight bend in the tip, and feel the slow pumping of the bait.

i was reading the daiwa's specs, it said it is graphite wrapped in glass, anybody have experience in these. see I mainly use dt6 and bandit 2000s "beating the bank" popping and deflecting wood, but sometimes we fish around points were it drops off to 8-10, so something that still can do the 2.5s-dt 10s all around crankbait rod. without having to buy and use 2.

No experience with the rod you mention, but I do have the 7'11" MM and love it.  Haven't tried deep cranks on it much and think it might be slightly overpowered for really big ones, but it should still be doable.  I'd say the rod has a slightly lower max rating than what it can actually handle.  It's rated up to 3/4 ounce; I'd not hesitate to throw 1 ounce lures on it.  Otherwise the rating is spot-on.

 

There doesn't seem to be a 7'1" MH Ballistic—there's a 7'2" MH cranker and a 7'1" H graphite rod, but no 7'1" MH.  Also a 7' MH spinnerbait rod with a "regular" action—should be good for cranking.  For your application, I'd go with either of the two MH/Regular rods or possibly the MH/F graphite rod.  The cranker is longer and will give you a little more casting distance, the all-graphite rods will likely be more sensitive and slightly more accurate to cast do to their shorter length.  The fast-action graphite rod will be stiffer and thus should flex less from heavier baits, but the regular-taper rod will probably load a little better for long casting.  Pick your poison.
