I'm not sure how interesting this is but I pulled up on a point with huge laydown coming off the bank and noticed a lot of thrashing about. So I naturally threw a cast over and got nothing...the thrashing stopped. So as I moved around the point I noticed it again but ignored it. Then I heard it again right as I was getting ready to take off, and in the same exact place. So out of curiousity I went over for a closer look. I found a fairly decent striper (15-20 pounds or so) all tangled up in line and wrapped around the tree. I grabbed the fish by the mouth and cut it free. It took me a bit to get the fish revived but it finally came around and took off like a shot....that was pretty rewarding to say the least. I was glad to see it swim free! This was my first striper by the way! Not exactly how I'd planned to catch one! LOL...great fish!

That's hilarious. Maybe someone read about fishing with soft plastic worms and got confused. Was it Texas rigged? lol!

Someone will find a 3/4 oz war eagle I left on top of a stump yesterday...

I was fishing a worm when I thought I got hung up in some weeds. Once I reel in to take them off, it turns out to be an employee id card from JC Pennies.

I found one also--a floater, but I was older.

I came around a point  a couple summers ago and found two very attractive young gals sunbathing nude on a floating swimming platform. They were not the least bit shy either, one of them even sat up an waved as I floated by...............I had to put the boat on the trailer after that, I was done for the day.

I snagged someone's line the other day. Started pulling it in expecting to find a lure and found a nose hooked live minnow. Unhooked the guy so he could live another day.

Flats fishing in tampa bay i had something pull my ST Croix legend inshore rod and penn spinfisher reel  out of the rod holder when no one was looking and about 3 hours later my dad caught string ray 4 foot wide with a circle hook it its mouth that look oddly familiar and at the end off 200 yds of braid was my 300 dollar combo i thought was a goner.

I hooked a 4' diameter snapping turtle once. It's head was bigger than mine. My son thought it was a log till it turned to look at us. It's a monster. Onetime the shoreline was full of yellow braid. The rumor is a guy hooked up with it and the turtle won. I'd like to see turtle man get this one.

I've hooked a couple of rod and reel combos. One was an Abu Garcia 5000C on a Lew's Speed Stick, the other was a cheap spinning rig. I cleaned up the 5000C and used it for many years. I also hooked a metal trash can lid once. It put up a pretty good fight!

Outside of people's fishing line, I've never pulled anything up. I feel gypped.

Someone will find a jointed lure hanging in a tree on Lake Nepawassi one day. They can bleeping have it because I never caught a bloody thing with it in three years.

I found a pflueger president spinning reel on half a rod bout two months ago. the reel was zip tied to the reel seat with the seat loosened as far as it could go, and the rod was broke bout mid ways up. I came to the conclusion they bought the rig at a local pawn shop, got snagged and broke the rod trying to ****** it loose and just threw it in. The question still remains... How smart do you have to be to realize that you could've saved the reel by clipping the line and cutting the zip ties at home rather than throwing it all away?

Mike Ike??.... Maybe...lol

That is amazing what happened ! Did you give your cousin the buzzbait back ? Their have been quite a few other stories that would indeed fall under this same category , of amazing!
