Yesterday I caught a monster that had broken me off Friday.

I was able to remove the hook and recover my Rage Tail Lizard!

German WW2 motorcycle with its lights still on!

Fisherman 1: "I caught this huge bass, it was 50" long and weighed 65 pounds!"

Fisherman 2: "Oh yea, I got snagged the other day, and I pull out an German WW2 motorcycle!"

Fisherman 1: "Oh yea?! Well the bass I caught was actually 60" and pushing 75 pounds!"

Fisherman 2: "No way! The motorcycle I pulled was still in working condition and it's lights were still on!"

Fisherman 1: "OK OK, I'll trim 15 pounds off my bass, but you have to turn the light off!"

Old Polish fishing joke :D

Lots of crankbaits and texas rigs for good stuff, also a pair of nice plyers. I fish a lot of electric motor only lakes in my kayak where most people back fish so i pick up a lot of bobber, abandoned limb lines and pick as much line out of the tree as i can. Seems like every time i go out it has multiplied

Found a 30 lb snapping turtle hooked to my topwater once. That was fun to reel in, thought I had a lunker. :D

As far as gear, there's all kinds of lures stuck in the trees around this pond. Never found anything of real worth. As someone else said I'd like to find a decent Abu one day fingers crossed.

A bike. Somebody had tossed it off the pedestrian bridge across my local river, and it was in the way of fishing. A giant S-hook and some strapping helped me land it. Surprisingly, it only had one Trap broken off on it. I was expecting a Christmas tree's worth of rusty tackle.

I found a pflueger president spinning reel on half a rod bout two months ago.  the reel was zip tied to the reel seat with the seat loosened as far as it could go, and the rod was broke bout mid ways up.  I came to the conclusion they bought the rig at a local pawn shop, got snagged and broke the rod trying to ****** it loose and just threw it in.  The question still remains...  How smart do you have to be to realize that you could've saved the reel by clipping the line and cutting the zip ties at home rather than throwing it all away?

Night fishing my local lake pulled into a small cove  where I can beach my boat just to stretch my legs and have a cig.

Looked in my boat and a dag had jumped in .

I've found various soft plastics that were still in useable condition.  Also quite a few hard baits.  Mostly Rapalas.  Found an X-rap Shad, Shallow Shad Rap, and Countdown Minnow, a Hula Popper, and a frog that I think is made by Snag Proof.  One time there was a Rat-L-Trap up in a tree that I couldn't reach so I reeled my worm hook up to the tip of my rod, used it to grab the lure and pull it tight and used my bait knife tied to a long stick with a stringer to cut the line holding it in the tree.

Nov. 22, 2012 Lake Tuckahoe (2)

I also found a pretty nice multi-tool.  Put it in my wife's tackle bag and a couple weeks later she ended up leaving it at the lake so I guess we paid that one forward.

Nothing like what you guys found.

I did save a beautiful Norman chartreuse crankbait from the bushes on a high tide.

Seems the tide must have been low when the guy threw the crank into the bush and he could not get to it.

I guess I don't look for stuff other than places to drop the line.

Over the years I have found pliers, knives, crankbaits, plastics, props off of electric motors, and terminal tackle.

Years ago when I was fishing with my Dad we found a very nice BC and rod when we got out to the lake.  Tossed it into the back of the truck and started fishing from the shore.  When we were leaving a car pulled up and this guy gets out and starts looking for something.  My Dad asks him what he was looking for, and this guy says that one of his bosses' kids he brought out fishing the day before had left his rod and reel behind.  My Dad asks him what kind of rig it was, and the guy named the same rig that we found.  They guy thanked us and told us we probably saved his job.

I caught a very nice diving knife still in the holster with nice rubber straps on a squarebill once. Best I can tell is it must be from the fire department doing practice dives in the lake because swimming isn't allowed.

Forgot one.  At the end of last summer when the shoreline weeds were still really high and thick I lost a Bandit 200 crankbait 5 feet from shore but just couldn't get at it.  Early spring of this year I'm fishing the same spot but since it was still cold there weren't any weeds yet.  After fishing for a while I end up looking down and I notice something embedded in the half frozen mud and it turned out to be my crankbait.  Slapped some new hooks on it and it was good to go.

Got snagged on a castnet once that was stuck on rocks and whatnot. Pulled it up as far as I could and it was full of lures. Got a chart./black kvd 2.5 and two more crankbaits. There were many more assorted lures attached to the net but it was winter and I couldn't reach into the water to work them out.

Fishing a church pond once, Iooked down at my feet, and in the slop was a like-new Lucky Craft Live Pointer80mr (suspending) in "Nikishi" color.

Also found a Booyah Pad Crasher once.

Found a body on Vernon Lake, it had been under water for 3 days.

I was only 12, try getting that out of your head!

Odd first post but my friend lost his favorite KVD crankbait a few days ago, and yesterday I got snagged on a submerged log and after getting free, reeled back in to find my lure and his favorite attached at the end.

I have found some lures like the rest of us. But I found $60 in a bank envelope. It must have fell out someone's car of something because the bills were showing out the bank envelope

Haha I gave it back to him.  Ironically, I had just bought the same color KVD earlier in the day.  Life's kinda funny like that
