Powerpro Super 8 Slick Hi Vis Yellow Line

Hey guys ended up picking up the new Hi Vis yellow super 8 line and really like how I can see my line really well on the water. This line also casts really nice, probably a little better and smoother than the regular power pro. Heres my ? however would the high vis yellow scare the fish away you think? I am mainly fishing in fairly murkey small ponds sometimes I get out in some pretty clean larger lakes. Fishing has been slow lately but I am hoping its the fish and not my line, what are you guys thoughts?

I give line visability (to the fish) very little consideration. When I do it's more of a confidence thing when finesse fishing super clear open water, and then it's usually just a leader. I think heavy line moves water and affects the action of finesse baits, so I'm a believer in down sizing line diameter but have seen no proof in studies or personal experience that lead me to believe bass see fishing line or are bothered by it if they do.

I don't put a whole lot of stock in line visibility scaring fish either.  The only exception to that might be highly pressured, super clear water.  I've never personally used yellow braid but if you're worried about it, try a leader and see if you notice a difference.

I have used the hi vis yellow for a few years with no leader and have not noticed any issues with catching fish even on super clear rivers and streams.  If you are concerned just go with a leader like has been mentioned.  For me, i don't see the need to add another potential fail point into a system hence the reason i don't use leaders 99% of the time.

color last 6 feet with a marker of any color you like.

I use straight 6# high vis yellow suffix 832 one one rod and 6# blaze orange mono no a different one for pitching jigs in the spring/fall for walleye. their eye sight is is far superior to that of a bass and I don't have any issues. I think you will be fine.
