MDBowHunter Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks BB, He was taken from a 2 acre patch of woods behind a warehouse that a buddy of mine worked at, him and two other nice ones were living there during early season because of the tons of wild grapes that were there. Yes nice fox Clayton, I've been after a fox for years now the problem is I've never taken the time to just hunt them. It seems every time I see one while in a deer stand it's just out of bow range, and when I'm hunting with a gun I just dont want to blow the deer out so I don't take the shot. I hunt a farm that has numerous albino squirrels on it and I'd love to have a fox mounted with one in it's mouth. Bow season here in MD starts Sept. 6th, I can not wait... Quote

I do more fox hunting then deer hunting but now that I'm getting back into bow hunting I can see it switching slightly. We gotta wait till oct 1 for deer I'm growing anxious to try out them new toxic broad heads Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 11, 2013 Global Moderator Posted August 11, 2013 My first archery buck, not my biggest anymore but my most memorable. I took him with a buddies bow who had died of bone marrow cancer the winter before. I missed my chance at this deer earlier that morning but he came back the way he left me in the afternoon. He slipped in on me again but I managed to get my bow up and stop him one step short of the trees and made a perfect shot on him and watched him go 30 yards and tip over in a bean field. Like to think that my buddy was watching me do work with his old bow. Not a big one but I got my first 'yote with a bow last year. Chased off some turkeys that were just about in range. Manged to kiss him back to me and whacked him at about 20 yards. 1 Quote
MDBowHunter Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Two very nice bow kills Blue, and an awesome story to boot. Congrats Quote

We made it up but we gotta get a buck, doe, Tom, squirrel, raccoon, fox, coyote all with our bow in one season. Gonna be d**n near impossible due to the coyote on the list lol Quote
destroyer350 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 didn't kill a deer last year only saw one all season but I made up for it Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted August 15, 2013 Super User Posted August 15, 2013 That gator is awesome I wanna get one that would be sweet. I can't even imagine only seeing 1 deer in a season deer are so thick up here they are all over I mean I get 7 tags 1 either sex for bow, 1 buck, 4 doe tags, 1 either sex for muzzle loader. That doesn't include the doe tags you can have signed over as well. The only thing that keeps me from tagging completely out a lot is my freezers only hold 3 processed deer lol. Quote
