trevor Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Is TriggerX changing their bait lineup, or going out of business, or what? They're $5 at Gander Mountain, so I got packs of the Bug and "Senko". Quote
Shad_Master Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 It could be because they don't catch fish and stink worse then GULP! - just a thought Quote
airborne_angler Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 You got ripped off. Local Walmart has them, and has had them for a looong time at $2 a pack.Theyre not exactly "flying" off the shelves. Quote

Super User BASSclary Posted July 28, 2010 Super User Posted July 28, 2010 Wal-mart where im at has em for only 50 CENTS!! so i picked up a pack, needless to say i find that they are junk. Quote
trevor Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 I fished them last night and caught 7 bass in 2 hrs. But might have done better with normal baits. Not questioning you guys , but why specifically don't you like them? Quote

Super User BASSclary Posted July 29, 2010 Super User Posted July 29, 2010 I actually put it in the tub last night as i was wondering why i wasnt catching fish with it and it hardly had any action. ( to me atleast ). And the fact you get so little of them. I also dont like there scent juice stuff. Its just like Gulp, which IMO is overpriced as well. Quote
Nice_Bass Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 In all honesty, if you can't catch a fish using the flapping bug then you are not in the right location, time, or even on the water. That being said, I don't like these baits at all, as with gulp (which I catch the same amount of catfish on it seems like) I don't need a bait that dries out among other things. At the discount prices these baits can be had at, I got a couple packs- caught a couple fish. No better than a regular plastic, but more difficult to take care of. I will say in dingy water or night, I may change my mind. Just seems like Rapala jumped on the wagon however I think they should have focused hard bait soft bait combos or just affordable softbaits because really, there is nothing unique or different about the baits produced in this lineup, aside from pheromone manipulation which,I say just give the fish a couple beers and it will become aggressive anyhow. Bottom line, they do catch fish, but so do a lot of baits for less stink, money, etc. Quote
