All caught around a spillover of a dam, couple on ultralight crappie rod and jig, others on medium action casting rod using 1/4 oz jig head and grub or minnow.  Blue and white color combination.

Some nice fish there

Thanks, unless somebody has landed a monster and didnt tell the bait shop across the street or tell anyone, I hold the big fish brag rights for the area I fish.  I'll be honest though, my success is directly correlated to the amount of time I spend casting, which is daily minus the occasional thunderstorm day.

How big is it? What do you mainly use to catch em?

9 3/4 lb, dont know what the big fish is for the entire reservoir but 9 3/4 is biggest we've seen so far from below the dam.  Using 1/4 oz jig heads and 4" curly tail grub or minnow. White or blue/white combo

Do you keep all those hogs?

None, they go 100 yds to the bait shop for weigh and pictures and then released. The 10+ I catch one day will be took to the taxidermist.

I went out an hour ago and caught a large crappie on the 1/4 oz jig head with 3" white curly tail grub, and missed a large bass on a bad hookset.  Long cast and didnt yam it in like i should've. Big storm came in very quickly and sent me home.
