Alright so I have an *** in 7'1" mh casting.. I love it, sensitive and very powerful. I use it for plastics and jigs. I was wondering if the Jadewood is more sensitive than the 13, or stronger, etc etc. So please give me your opinions. I'm looking around for rods that i can stick with the line up. So if the Jadewood doesnt stack up I will continue to purchase Omens.

Thank you

My vote goes to the Jadewood. To me it is more sensitive and felt better in the hand. I got the 7'11" H. Going to get a crankin stick next.

I was looking at the *** and the jadewood, I decided on the St. Croix rage rod...

I have a Jadewood and an ***, while I like both, I like the *** better. It's more sensitive, and has a better balance in my hands. I have both of them paired with Scorpions, 1000s.

Big fan of the omens here.

Lately though I've been pushing the KLX.  With the discount cash off codes available coupled with their daily and weekly specials you can get a superior rod for a small amount more.

What discounts?  Could use another rod or two, and the KLX sound very tempting.  Thanks.

i would say denali jadewood, im a denali man myself and every rod in my boat is a denali, i was notorious for breaking rods and have yet to break a denali, and they are very sensitve too!

Always good to hear the opinion of one that has actually used both rods.

I have not fished a Denali but I have seen videos of guys (Terry Bolton) fishing them and they look pretty impressive...

Right now however I am beyond impressed by the *** series. First I will note that I hate the grips and realseat and have modified them slightly (filed down plastic and metal), they were uncomfortable and caused bruising (I have read others had same problem), I dont know what they were thinking there. Also something to keep in mind, if you are hard on equipment and break a lot of rods the *** series rods are unprotected and geared more towards high performance than durable and lasting. By unprotected I mean there is no paint undercoat or glaze top coat.

I like them because the blanks and taper on those rods is far (so so far) beyond their price point. The balance, the taper, the tip, the power and the sensitivity of these rods is unreal for a value stick and I seriosly doubt there is anything else under 200.00 that compares in 4 out of the 5 of those categories. Typically the only rods I spend high dollar on are my jig, worming, pitching, c-rig, T-rig, and spinning drop shot setups. For my reaction type setups I can always find an adequate 100 dollar stick no problem as normally the less superior taper is just right for reaction bait fishing. Now that these are out however the average price per rod on my boat deck is going down significantly.

I have been using Jadewood worm and jig rod for few years now and the feel is great, I have actually increased my hookup ratio due to the custom action that is built into each Denali rod.  In my personal arsenal I have the Jadewood spinner bait rod, medium crank bait rod, medium heavy crank bait rod and the worm and jig rod I mentioned earlier.  Denali rods have produced what I feel will be a great new line of simi-micro guide line of rods, the Kovert series.  Check out Hank Cherry at iCast talking about the Kovert series of rods.  They are in stock at tackle warehouse and if you have not used tackle warehouse before there shipping is the lowest on the internet and in most cases you can get 2 day shipping next to nothing.

you cant go wrong with the Denali.  Jadewood.  hands down.  I fish for smallmouth on st clair and i can feel every little rock on the bottom.  when the fish hit it, you know it.

I would recommend the Denali rods, they have rolled out the new Kovert line and they are not much more expensive than the jadewood line and let me tell you these rods are awesome if you are going to go to one brand then Denali is the way to go.

I have several Denali Rods.  I know you cannot go wrong buying any of the Denali Rods.  I love mine.  very sensitive and strong.
