Super User AK-Jax86 Posted August 9, 2013 Super User Posted August 9, 2013 AK-NJ, Check with Obama , but i dont see any reason you cannot do both. NEJitterbug Is the Obama of this thread, I'm sure he won't care unless I end up pulling in some FL BIGGENS lol. But this is all fun I just like seeing people catching fish. It makes it a little better when I am not catching any, I caught all my top 5 in the first 2 days or so and it seems like nothing big since then. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 I would love to have AK join the thread, I don't care if I get crushed. Bass fishing to me (tournaments excluded) is about the thrill and having fun. As you can see I have like 78.5" haha, I want to cull 4 if not all 5 of my fish by the end of the month but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I want to see everyone catch big fish... Welcome aboard AK Quote

Welcome aboard AK it looks like atleast 100" is going to be the winner. That's how it was the past 3 months that we did it in FL, and it was only a few of us contributing now I think there are more but they are waiting to unleash their monster fish at the end of the month Quote

I'd rather have a steady income of decent fish with some real good ones thrown in, keeps us in the loop, we learn more, more discussion... 1 Quote

Mike2841 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Caught a little one today off a black/blue chatterbait but it flopped back in the water before I could take a picture. Doesn't matter though, it was about the size of my shoe. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 10, 2013 Super User Posted August 10, 2013 Went out to check on some conditions at a local spot. Got a few like this guy. At least I can take off the 16", and cull with this 17.5" 1 Quote

bobh64 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 My 2 twins on Milton 3 Ponds everyone keeps saying the big ones are gone and there's nothing but trout, but patience works for me finding them. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 11, 2013 Super User Posted August 11, 2013 Hey, Bobh64, turn your fish around. The mouth (closed) goes against the "0" of the ruler. Quote
Fly_Fisherman Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hey Jitterbug, could you post the pictures of my fish from your phone? Quote
bobh64 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hey, Bobh64, turn your fish around. The mouth (closed) goes against the "0" of the ruler. I know just hard when going solo and rushing to get the fish back into the water in 25 mph wind and a well used lake with boat renters running all over the place Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Hey Jitterbug, could you post the pictures of my fish from your phone? I thought I only had one pic (which i posted), but I have two, one looks 16.5" the other might be 16.75" 1 Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Got a 16" yesterday to cull one of my 15inchers, puts me at 79.5". I need to start culling all of mine!!! The 17.5" isn't bad but 15" Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 MARsSPEED: 98.5" (5 fish) Shane: (98.25) (5 fish ) Nashua Nev: 97" (5 fish) Me: 79.5" (5 fish) Bobh64: 56" (3 fish) (correct me if I'm wrong) 1 Quote
MARsSPEED Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Security towed my car at my lake today. I was parked in boat trailer parking only. Funny thing is there was no where else to park and no trucks with trailers parked where I parked. Guess the rent-a-cops had nothing better to do..... No culling today! I will get some time to fish later this week but that is right after a cold front moves through. One-hundred inches is beginning to look harder and harder! I'm glad you fellas enjoyed your weekend. I gotta somehow figure out how to get this $175 tow job past my wife, haha. Quote

Curtis B. Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I might have to join the fun if I can find some time to get out on the water! Wish I had some pics of the little ones I got this past week, would at least get me on the board! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 13, 2013 Super User Posted August 13, 2013 Yeah, it is kinda fun. Nice fish, Nev. That about 20"? Must've been at the upper end of 4lbs or so? Quote
