martintheduck Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I've fished spinnerbaits plenty but never have gotten into "collecting" them like I do cranks, jigs, and plastics. For the most part, I've stuck to $1 walmart spinners and Strike King KVD spinners. I branched out one time and tried some other kind and the spinner broke on the first cast, so I went back to me normals. Who are your favorite spinnerbait manufacturers? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 MegaStrike StrikeBack, NorthStar Hidden Weight and Siebert Outdoors Cosmic. Our sponsors have some great products, please give them a try! Quote
MrSwimJig Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Strike King KVD spinner baits were some of my first. But my favorites are War Eagle, North Star and Seibert spinner baits now. Quote
nascar2428 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Megastrike strikeback, Stanley vibra shaft, and Boo yah. 1 Quote
Dyerbassman Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 G & G Bait Company, out of Indiana, hand makes each of their spinnerbaits to your specifications. Priced right and work great. The only ones that I'll use now. Quote
PABASS Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I have some old ones from Stanley which I like and still use have many from strike king but recently I am really digging the War Eagle brand. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 I like the War Eagle brand. I DISLIKE the bass pro shop brand, they are cheaply made and do not last that long. Quote
Brian6428 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Booyah. Sharp hooks, good skirts and blades, and well priced. I will be ordering some jigs from siebert soon and will try their spinnerbaits out. Brian Quote
5fishlimit Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 War Eagle. I have many brands, and always do the best with War Eagle. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 Fishing from shore it's been the mini strike king in white or chartreuse using a mister twister 4" split double tail grub for a trailer. I cut the grubs body to fit the hook. I also change the skirt to the blue glimmer. Add the trailer hook between the grubs body and tail so it's weedless. Put the grub on carefully so it's centered so the spinner bait will run perfectly vertical. Add a shot of yum shad scent and your good to go. I prefer the larger skirts on the smaller spinner bait so it gives it more body and width. I like to upside my blade to a larger Indiana blade were I can too. The more thump the better. Or use the spinner bait right out of the package using any trailer you wish. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 Revenge or Northstar. Quote
martintheduck Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 War Eagle and Terminator T-1's. Just ordered some siebert spinners. Would like to try the war eagles too. I recently bought some war eagle jigs and they have become my favorite jigs! Quote
Super User bigbill Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 Mann's classic,3/4 oz. Mann's classic,3/4 oz. The Mann's Hank Parker Classic Spinner bait was the first spinnerbaits to ever work for me. I think they forgot about Hank Parker they just call it a classic now what about Hank? I did a search for them and finally found them I ordered a $100 worth of them. They don't offer the 3/16 oz or 1/4oz classic anymore. It's been that long since I seen then. I was at whits end trying to find these I have every spinner bait that Mann's ever made. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 Secret Weapon are my favorite you can change blades very easily and no bearings to go bad Quote
TrapperJ Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Booyah and War Eagles - Get 5 quick finesse model. (Haven't got 5 quick yet! HA but have caught some good size bass on them.) I wish the War Eagles had red eyes on them, but seems like the bass dont care that they do or dont. guess i could nail polish a red eye on them. Just seems funny when the norm seems like most have a detailed jig head on the spinnerbait and the war eagle is as plain as you could get. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted July 29, 2013 Super User Posted July 29, 2013 Honestly I got tired of buying a $6 spinnerbait and then having to re-build it to what I wanted. Now I just make my own the way I want them in the first place (The one in my avatar I made). Allen Quote
SudburyBasser Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I like Ko-Man-Chi and Boo-yah but I've caught just as many fish with the "3 for $10" rack cheapies at my local outfitter. In fact, given that I often fish for pike, I almost prefer those. Quote
Kevin22 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I don't know if he still makes them or not.. but my favorites were made by a guy that goes by "chunky dunk'n custom baits". Aside from that, probably the booyah original old school one. Quote
BamaBassChaser Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I don't really have a favorite, but lately if I'm throwing a spinnerbait, it's something from War Eagle. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 30, 2013 Global Moderator Posted July 30, 2013 I like War Eagles for clear water and Booyahs for dirty water. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I'm a recent War Eagle convert, I love these baits. Quote
loganw316 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I have tried many brands and the War Eagle is by far my favorite! Quote
