Is that Claytor Lake near Radford?

A very clear lake and a hard lake to fish.

Please introduce your self in the Introductions section so we will know more about you.

As for Claytor, clear or natural colors plus a silver spoon.

Try any plastics with a "blue glimmer" or "glimmer white."

Fish slow.

Have fun and listen to your favorite music station on the radio to help pass the time.

Green pumpkin trick worm, and a green/chartreuse spinnerbait have been my best out there. Hit the trick worm texas rigged draggin it over a log, and the I was just slow rolling the spinnerbait. My buddy got em pretty good on a white/chartreuse spinnerbait as well just slow rolling.

Theres alot of fish being released around the state park after tournaments. If you have a boat try Peak creek,Spooky Hollow,Clapboard hollow.Later in the year the back of the creeks are stacked with shad and bass. Try a dropshot with a oxblood colored robo worm.Around wood I like a light finesse jig brown and matching trailer. A Zoom Swamp crawler on a split shot rig can be a killer too.Hope this helps.
