Hey guys, I need a quick connector for the 8 gauge wires off my terrova with my new quickmount. Walmart has a 10 gauge connector. Bass pro had plug and receptacles. This is for my pontoon and I'd prefer a good quick connecter set.

Found this one on ebay. Anyone using it?

The connector in the first link you posted looks just like (except the color) a connector that Cabelas sells (cheaper) - check it out here: Cabelas connector

I use the Cabelas connector as a quick dis-connect for the trolling motor on my canoe. Works great - a solid connection.

Unfortunately, the BR watermark covers part of the connector in this file photo....

The Minn-Kota connector is my preference, but they are a standard 12V connector available from many electrical houses at a much better price, they are very durable and corrosion resistant, I have them in grey red and black the only difference in any of them was the brand name on the package, very good marine connector. I have one mounted front aqnd one rear in the Metal Miss Fit, then I have all sorts of accessories wired to plug into them, night lights to replace my lantern, side lights for fishing out the side of the boat, crappie lights and 2 trolling motors.

If it's a two wire connection, there is none no better than the Anderson SB-50 or the knock offs of it, like the one sold by Cabela's, BPS and a number of others.  If you happen to have one the 12/24 motors that require three wires, you would have to buy a second pair of the SB-50's and only use one terminal in the second one. They do make a single terminal, but finding one might be a problem, and they are just not that expensive to just go ahead and get two pair.   Note, there is not male/female, they are all the same in the way they work.  It just takes two connector halves.  The terminals in them are for #6 cable but be installed on smaller wires by bending the wire double or triple and then crimping or solder them in.  I always crimp and solder.

The one pictured in the above post that came from Cabela's is the Anderson SB-50.  If you can buy from Grainger's they are probably a lot cheaper, just remember, those will be priced/sold as each and it will take two..

Nice guys, thanks for the info. That's the way I'm going to go. Really like this trolling motor and want to use products that will last years. Boat has been a money pit and gotta get my moneys worth. LOL

Gonna get on the water tomo and hope todays rains help the bite.
