JellyMan Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Grammar.. Cast everywhere. Fish shallow, fish deep. 6 Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Texas rig to the trees where there isn't a bunch of weeds, Punch the other side... Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 26, 2013 Super User Posted July 26, 2013 Shaky head and drop shot your plastics via flipping and pitching into and around all trees and other structure. Buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits and crankbaits to find the fish. Use a Zoom Trick Worm for your shaky head and any type of finesse worm you wish for your drop shot. Water clarity will determine the colors of your moving baits. You can also try any topwater baits you have over anything floating on top of the water or grass and pads. As a novice just go out and have some fun and then read the posts, articles and watch YouTube and the TV shows to learn more. When typing take your time so we can understand what you are asking. We love to give everyone our input but we have to respect the individual and how and what you write has an impact on our responses. Thanks for understanding and appreciating our position and keep those questions coming and post some pics of your catches. Quote
cast_and_destroy Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Haha jellyman's post made me laugh a little too loud in an ihop. Anyway that looks like a good spot you found yourself. Follow what everyone is telling you and you should have success sooner or later. Quote
BuffaloBass716 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Maybe try a frog over the weeds and weedline. Those are exciting baits to fish. Quote
RAMBLER Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 A Producto Buzz Tail Shad over the weeds and if I could position myself so I could cast and retrieve a lure in that open water, I'd work an Original Floating Rapala like an injured minnow. Quote
Bladesmith, Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 If you are fishing from a boat, I would surely be flipping a jig or soft plastic (Texas rigged) in and around all those tree roots. If not in a boat I would be dragging a weightless Texas rigged soft plastic through any place I could get it or something like a Moss Boss through those weeds. More information would be helpful. BadContrakt Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I agree with the post above me. I'd be throwin' a Texas rig around the base of every tree in sight. As far as his grammar goes - lighten up. I can read his entire post no problem. "This is where I fish normally. I'm a beginner bass fisherman andI was wondering... Where would I cast my bait to look for bass here?" Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted July 27, 2013 Super User Posted July 27, 2013 You are fortunate to fish such a pretty place. Looks peaceful. As far as fishing goes, all the techniques mentioned plus some other ones will work just fine there. Over time you will learn what pattern works best depending on the time of year. Great place to hone in your bass skills. Enjoy!! Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted July 27, 2013 Super User Posted July 27, 2013 When I went to school, you had to learn, to graduate. By the time my kids were in school, you just had to show up, to graduate. I think, now, all you have to do to graduate is turn 18.....lol. As Bob Dylan sang, "The times, they are a changing". Hootie P.S. I know,..... who is Bob Dylan? 1 Quote
