My lake is pretty shallow, 7 ft deep at the most and I mostly fish the shore of it which is about 2-3 feet deep. What is a good crank bait to fish around fallen trees and heavy cover, also the water is a stained green color.

Thanks

Kvd silent square bill ! Its my favorite crankbait. The square bill deflects cover very well which will help around the trees and cover.

When the water is stained I have luck with the chartreuse black back.

That's how deep most of my lakes are.  Get yourself some squarebills.  Strike King KVD 1.5's are a good choice.  Another good one would be the Bomber Square A.  The Square A will run a little shallower then the 1.5.

Even square bills can be a pain to fish from shore.  If I am fishing  heavy cover/fallen trees from the bank, I'm thinking something a little more snag resistant is in order.  Perhaps a spinner bait/buzz bait.

If I'm limited to one rod - heavy cover & fallen trees - from the bank, I'm thinking a Medium or Medium/Heavy spinning gear with 20 or 30 lb braid & fluorocarbon leader.  For bait, I'd throw a senko or maybe a sluggo.  In my experience, cranks in general and even square bills in particular are a pain throwing from the bank, more trouble than they are worth.

Square A is a good one. You might try a Norman Fat Boy, too!

Since you are fishing at an average depth of 2-3 feet. I would throw a KVD 1.5 or XCalibur XCS in chartreuse black back. Make sure you pay attention to what your bait is doing.

These helped me and I hope it helps you.

Bandit Footloose, 100 and 200. Those three will cover the top, middle and bottom. Can't beat them. And the KVD1.5 if you want to go a little more silently..

Good suggestions here. I'd also add a Mann's Minus 1 too as a solid choice.

Another Norman Fat Boy tip here. Also try a Bomber 4A in deeper spots - it floats up quicker than most other cranks so you can bang a stump multiple times if you do it right.

I like the Bandit 100 series.

I don't fish cranks to often, but I fish the same water types you speak of. I mainly use the Strike King 1.5's and 4S cranks. I also like the Rapala DT4's for these too.
