Super User Darren. Posted February 6, 2017 Super User Posted February 6, 2017 Just now, offsidewing said: #6 Yo-Zuri hybrid. Whats its secret? It has the same line diameter as most 10# lines. Its good stuff and not that finnicky. Or use #6 Seaguar Tatsu and, well, be broke and in love. Which means Yo-Zuri Hybrid 6# is actually 10# line The result of no clear pound test specs in the industry. I've got it and use it, too, fwiw. Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted February 7, 2017 Super User Posted February 7, 2017 I use Big Game mono on most of my spinning reels for freshwater and saltwater fishing. Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 7, 2017 Super User Posted February 7, 2017 This is a 2013 thread, it's now 2017 and new lines have come along since this was first discussed. I recommended Nanofil back then because it seemed to work, that change with time on the water, no longer use it. Daiwa Samuri braid performed good but prone to wind knots. Fins Windtamer came out in small diameters for spinning reel applications and this line does work after using it for about a year now. The FG and Alberto knots have become more popular than Uni-Uni knot to join leader to braid. Time marches on! Tom Quote
