Why is th original swamp donkey so sought after and how much are they selling now days???

Don't really know, I've never fished one but RI is about to re-release them.  The Swamp Donkey and Vixen are available for pre-order at certain online tackle stores.

They are still made, sort of. Hideki Maedi bought the mold and is manufacturing them under the "teckel" brand name. He also has a pretty cool version with little flapper feet instead of a skirt.
