Jim Mac Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I just got a new Garmin Echo 150 depthfinder that I want to mount on my front deck, and I want to have the battery near it in the front. Also, I'm hoping it can fit into some kind of waterproof case so I can leave it on the boat. What do you guys suggest? I was thinking of a lawn tractor battery maybe, but what kind of battery box can I use? Thanks. Quote
Crappiebasser Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Why not just run wiring to your starting battery? Quote
Jim Mac Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 I don't want the hassle of splicing wire on and running it. Any recommendations? Quote
McFurie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I got a lawn mower battery and duck raped the wired to it IM sure there's a more better way but that's how I did it it sits under the front deck of my johnboat and only runs a lowrance mark5 I charge it once a month and run it at least 30 to 40 hours between charges Quote
