VERY Impressed with rage tail products

I have been fishing the craw on a jig for several weeks now. The size of the fish I have been catching has definitely gone up. And today caught my PB at 4.5lbs. I tried a few other trailers on the jig with little success, put on a rage tail and bamm! it's like I flicked a switch that makes the bass feed. Also been using the thumper and the anaconda T-rigged with very good results. But that craw on the back of a jig is one sexy looking rig. My goal is to break 5lbs and I'm thinking now rage tail is gonna be the bait that gets me there....

Oh yeah, they'll get you there! There are tons of different ways to use them, too.

Never used the craw, but the shad topwater is amazing!

Take it on the edge of a weed bed or lillies and see what

happens

I'm with you on that one Evrglades.  If I put any other trailer on my jigs down here I don't get nearly the amount of strikes.  It's probably because of the really warm water we've got needing that extra movement to draw in strikes.  My jig box is definitely getting larger.  I'll almost always have one tied on now.  Bass Resource got me hooked on the jigs.

I have just the opposite reaction to mine. I can be catching them on some other crawbait and then switch to RT and it's like I flipped a switch...  :-/

I have a mixed bag on that as well.  T-rigged weightless I can kill them, trrigged weight, too much line twist.  On a Jig, i have been doing much better with powerbait craws.  I will say, t-rigged weightless on a spinning rod (which i dont use often) is a lot of fun with the big fish that do bite.

Just had a thought as i re-read what I wrote.  If i can get the bit weightless, but not on a jig...maybe I am fishing it too fast for the conditions...yet I do catch them with the powerbait...Back to square one...taking off work and heading out to the lake.  Enjoy the rest of your day.

years ago I "discovered" Net Baits Paca Craws. Then

last year I started fishing a few Rage Tail products.

Now I fish them all.

I have had great success with GYCB, Net Baits,

Reaction Innovations and a few other soft plastic

brands. Surprisingly, I find Rage Tail baits to be

significantly more productive. If you don't give

them a try, you are doing yourself a disservice.

I've still got a small box of GYCB that I'll refill once in a while.  They still produce, but nowhere near the numbers that the Rage Tail lineup does.  I never really had much luck with baits like the Paca craws from Net-bait.

Rage Products and Netbaits are now the ONLY two trailers I will use. Rage Craws are my number 1 t-rigged bait by far. I love how Rage products are simple, yet produce a ton of action. There isn't 23847 appendages coming off the body! Rage keeps it simple and wins!

I agree they are much more productive, I just wish I hadn't spent so much money finding this out

I've caught bass on both sizes of Anaconda.  I've caught them on the craw, and on the frog.  But, by far, the most productive Rage Tail I've used is the Space Monkey.  Not only has it out fished the other Rage Tails I've used, it has accounted for the majority of bass I've caught on any bait since Big-O sent me some when the line was introduced. 

I rig the Space Monkey on an Owner 4/0 Twist Lock 1/8 oz weighted hook.  Rigged this way, the bait can be buzzed on the surface, or retrieved slowly about a foot under the surface.  It will sink horizontally.  The Space Monkey's legs kick up and down, and the hips sway slightly from side to side.   It looks alive.   Setting the hook is a breeze.  Much like a spinner bait, the fish pretty much hooks itself.  The weight is just there.  In fact, I fish them on All Star American Classic 6'8" medium heavy/fast rods (model ACSBR2 spinner bait rod).
