I know there is tons of threads about frogs. But I am just wondering what your favorite frogs are. I don't have a preference on type. I just wanna get a good frog lure because I have been fishing in an area with frogs near the pond.

Go with the Booyah Pad Crasher. I find the soft body helps increase hook sets.

When would you fish these over the traditional hollow body frogs?

All day every day no matter what the conditions!!! They are amazing IMO. You need to buy the Stanley frog hooks because they fit perfectly on their frogs. You can fish them using any technique. I have even used weighted hooks an caught em on the bottom.

Booyah is good for the 3/0 hook, Koopers has 3/4 oz. I like that.both quality bodies.

I have seen like 8 topics on this in the past month. USE THE SEARCHBAR!

It cracks me up that you find the time to reply to this thread with "USE THE SEARCHBAR!" yet it would have taken you less time to list your favorite frog and move on.

Live Target frogs would be my choice.

Im not trying to save time, I'm sick of seeing the same 10 topics over and over and over. Just scroll through the pages people.

I think you need to take a break.

Most questions have been asked before, this isn't something new,

but for the poster it's all new!

And I'm sure people are sick of seeing your negativity that you bring to threads. Do you think everyone knows how to search thru threads? Do you think everyone has the time to search thru threads like some of us do? What if its a 13 year old kid that has a time limit on the internet? What if its an old timer that is new to the internet? Also when people ask a repetitive question they might feel its more personnable when people answer in their thread. So have some respect for others in here even if you might not like it.

To the OP sorry for the distraction. Carry on guys.

I had 5 bites Sunday and one hookup with a black jackall with purple sides hollow frog.   Frogs are awesome and can outshine any other bait even in open water at times.  The 14 oz fish that I caught hit the frog so hard it turned the hooks to the opposite side of the bait.  I thought I'd hooked a toad! lol

I like the H2O brand hollow body frogs (pretty sure H2O is Academy sports brand).  anyways the graphics mimic a spro or live target but for a fraction of the price!  I also like Bass Pro's Kermie frogs, I seem to have prettty good hook ups with them even though the body seems harder and stiffer than you would expect.  For me the most productive color is black or a green/black/grey combo coming in close second.  i like to throw them all the way on the bank and then easily pop them into the water.  I'd say about 75% of the strikes i have on a frog come from that initial plop into the water from the bank.  hands down my favorite way to catch them!

Booyah pad crashes are the best bang for your buck. I've used many major brands and I get the best response with the booyah by far. I think that I get such a good hookup because they are smaller than most frogs allowing for the fish to swallow them better. Great in open water and light slop but can be used everywhere.

When there are big fish and thick pads, I prefer koppers because they are heavier and soft.

Those are great frogs, but give the Rage Tail Toad a whirl, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

I like the Booyah pad crasher, but I guess you could say my opinion is biased, as thats all Iv used. I may try a different brand in the future, but I dont use frogs enough.

+1, but i also recommend getting the Junior version for even better hook sets!

Booyah Pad Crasher seems to be the way to go. I'm gonna try others as well at some point. And as for the search thing, like i said i have read others but most were about specific types. I'm asking about any type. And sometimes things change, in a old thread a new lure might have come out that is what everyone else is using. It is just easier to post my own thread read the others and see if anything has changed.
