Someone on the T-Rigging craws thread mentioned using a weighted EWG hook on a craw. I thought that sounded great, and after reading about rage tails with their active claws, I decided to head to academy and buy some. Went to a community lake this am and it worked! They really mashed it on the sink! Just long hoppin it across the bottom. Great action on those claws!

Yup. The Rage Rig is a deadly way to rig Craws and Lobsters, as well as many other kinds of plastic baits. I actually have a dedicated Rage Rig rod, and it's almost always with me.

Too cool!

I think you will like the other Rage Tail baits just as much.

Your're gonna have to try the Lobster at least.

that is a horrible bait. Take every pack of Rage Craws you own, and send them to me. I will dispose of them for you. Especially the Falcon Craw, Blue Craw, and Green Pumpkin Craw with the claws dipped in chart. dye.

Good stuff!  I need to try this as well.  I have no luck with t-rigging the craws that i have.  What weight did you use for the weighted hook?

What do you guys use more, the regular rage craw or the baby rage craw?

I used 1/16 oz. and really liked the fall rate with it. Just enough to make the claws work on the fall. It went from a faster flap on the hop, to a slow flap on the fall. I was using the regular rage craw in watermelon red flk.

Good choice. I love using a rage rig set up. I, too, have a rod set-up exclusively for rage rigging craws and lobsters. I caught by PB bass this spring using this setup, with a Bama Craw. Good luck and keep throwing them you will catch alot of nice bass.

Try using a Shell Cracker rigged flat on a Rage Rig.  It falls is a spiral.  The bass just destroy it.

A Rage Rigged Space Monkey and Anaconda work well too... except maybe in parking lots ;)

If I don't have one on the back of a Jig, I have it rigged on a 4.0 1/4oz Stroker hook Raged Rigged. The only two ways I fish them. Prespawn I killed it on a Green Pumpkin Purple Gold!

They still work! This guy ripped the claws off and came back for the rest!

Glad you're enjoying the Rage Rigged Craw... I think it's a great presentation on Most all waters I've fished as well!

In the heat of Summer the bass really go for a lot of flapping on the claws. They seem to key on that Rage Tail action. It's lights out!
