Ghost Is Back

It has been about seven or eight months without our friendly ghost doing anything in our house.

 

About a week ago my wife complained that she felt like someone was in the house with her during the day.

 

Today, the picture behind our bed's backboard came tumbling down for no reason while we were gone.

 

The picture's wire is intact and in excellent condition and the nail/hook is out of the wall just a little but it is still in the wall without any signs of it failing.

 

So our friendly ghost is back and we can expect some small things to occur for a few weeks and then he/she goes away.

 

When my wife left for a quilting class and I headed to the double secret pond the bedroom was in order; the bed made; all lights out; and everything in its place. No one came into the house while we were gone. So there is no reason why the large painting fell to the floor for no reason other than the ghost did it.

 

Oh well, so is life.

 

P.S. I hope the ghost can tell me some good  to fish and what baits to use in my upcoming bass tournaments. I think I will leave the maps and pens out with hopes that he/she can give me some secrets.

Hi Sam, How long have you had a ghost in your house? What are some of the things that the ghost has done? Has it ever awoke you guys during the night? I find this stuff pretty interesting.Ed

Too cool.  I too have seen ghosts.  People think I am crazy or making stuff up when I tell them, but it is true.  I have never had a bad ghost encounter though.  I just don't believe in those!

I never understand why people say ghosts do the things they say. I mean knocking a picture off the wall? Lights flickering? A bump in the night? Tv flickering or turning off? I mean really if a ghost can do that stuff why not pick up a pen and paper and write a note. Or even worse choke or pick some thing up and mess ya up.

That's not even funny. I have had that happen to me. I was taking a nap one day. I woke up gasping for air. When I woke up it felt like some one was sitting on my chest. With there hands around my neck.

 

Later that night a can opener went flying across the kitchen. As i was making dinner. It came a within a few feet from hitting me. That is my only ghost story.

I was laying in my bed trying to fall asleep last night. I heard a loud thump out back. Figured it was someone depositing something in the dumpster at the top of the hill. Still kinda put me on edge though. I go back to my laying and the dang door knob to our room starts rattling. I flew up grabbed the Glock and racked it. I'm about to turn someone inside out. Didn't hear a sound from the hall or stairs. I bust through the door in a shooters crouch. Still no sound or movement. Creep down the stairs and survey the downstairs not a dang thing. Both doors are still dead bolted shut. Not a thing to be seen or heard. Son it took two more hours for me to fall asleep after that. Ain't hear a dang sound after that. Had the dog not perked at the rattle of the door knob, I wouldn't have given it another thought. Didn't help matters that I watched some creepy dang movie before I went to bed either.

Ed, the ghost moved a chair in my wife's quilting room while she was in the room. The chair turned around for no apparent reason.

 

We smell tobacco in the house coming from a pipe. Neither of us smoke and we don't allow anyone to smoke in the house.

 

The security alarm will activate for no reason when we are gone. Nothing in the house moved to cause the activation.

 

Grand dog no longer wants to go upstairs. In fact, in the last year he made one trip to be with us and then hauled his fanny back downstairs and he has never come back up.

 

We have had things fall down in the attic for no reason. They were stable (boxes of clothes, toys, books, etc.) and every now and then one falls onto the attic floor.

 

My wife knows of other unexplained things that have happened in the house since she is home for most of the day.

 

We tell the ghost to go away and try not to pay any attention to its antics when they occur.

I had some unexplained things happen right after my dad died.I would go to his house on the weekends to maintain it and while i was their i had the vacuum cleaner turn on by itself once while it was sitting  in another room unattended . On another occasion I had the tv turn off twice while i was watching it, the remote was a good couple feet away sitting on the coffee table out of reach. Cool signals if you ask me.

Sam, were you doing any construction around your house.  I have heard that this will sometime wake a ghost up and make it active.

lol there is a place called yesteryear village near me and they cant keep maintenance men because of this...people would be standing on ladders and no one else in the house and they would get hit in the head with 2x4s...also they would come in everyday and looks like the inside of the houses went through a tornado lol

 

to the OP you could do like i did and seemed to work....just tell them if they going to stay you going to work them like a slave cause living here aint no free ride lol

Bankbeater, yes, we had three projects:

 

1.  New kitchen and downstairs bathroom counter tops.

2.  Fix the garage ceiling where I fell through it.

3.  Put in a sump pump under the house to get rid of some of the water that was accumulating under the house.

 

Having new kitchen plumbing and garbage disposal installed next week plus a new facet in my upstairs bathroom.

 

Wonder if that got the ghost up and running?

 

So far no fishing suggestions from him/her.

i too believe in ghosts and have seen one. i grew up in a house in NC that had a ghost, we named him charlie. radio would cut back on after turned off, my sister unplugged it after a couple times, and it still cut back on while unplugged. rocking chair would just start rocking by itself while at the same time the ghost would start changing the tv channels, literally flipping through them channel by channel till it found what it wanted to watch, usually the news. dogs barking at thin air with hair standing up. seen it walk out of my bedroom one night, the next morning i went to leave my room and the door was locked somehow, could only lock it from the inside, couldnt lock or unlock it from the outside. tapped my sister on the shoulder and spoke to her "hey, whats up" she went running out of the house...
