Megastink Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I noticed on Tackle Warehouse that the Lews Tournament Pro in 5.4 (rh) and only 5.4 was on sale about 20% off. This threw up a red flag, so I emailed Lews. Sure enough, that gear ratio in the Tournament Pro is being discontinued. It wont be available anymore. So, if you're a fan of that reel, GO BUY THEM NOW! Grantman83 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Makes sense considering the tournament mg and bb1 have elongated handles etc...makes me wonder about the extended 95mm carbon fiber handles. Those things are aweet Quote
Megastink Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 You can buy those 95MM CF handles for Lew's reels aftermarket. I forget where, but if you google it, you can find them for $50 somewhere. Quote

Capt.Bob Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 That is very high prices for a Lew's TP, even though it doesn't come in 5.4:1, I have never paid more than $175.00 for a Team and as low as $160.00 for the Team Gold. I gave $125.00 for my TP, I think at over $175.00 after shipping, I would go elsewhere and buy the Team Gold for less money, or a 5.4:1 TP for considerably less. Quote

Capt.Bob..curious where you're finding those prices on a new Lews TP? Even on ebay they're higher then that for a new one. I searched and searched, and the cheapest I could find new was $150 shipped. Capt.Bob Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 There really is nothing right now. Patience, I have set standard for what I am willing to pay for them. They will be restocking soon, but if you have it now, supply and demand dictates price! Quote
jherm87 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 On the subject of the Lews carbon handles, you can get them directly from Lews for $50 Quote
