CTGalloway21 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Wanted to see what everyone uses. I use War Eagle cause the skirts are hand tied with wire and not the cheap rubber band that dry rots. Anybody else use some awesome spinnerbaits? Quote
The Young Gun Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I have a few clear water war eagle spinnerbaits and I just love them. Otherwise I use lots of SK bleeding bait chart ones Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted July 17, 2013 Super User Posted July 17, 2013 I have 3 spinnerbaits models which I use 1 - Megastrike Strikeback 1/2oz Chartreuse/White. My all purpose spinnerbait. Usually the one I start the day with on "good spinnerbait" mornings. 2 - War Eagle finesse spinnerbaits. a clear/white skirt and a translucent chartreuse/white skirt I custom made. 3 - Strike King painted blade series. Ch/White, White and all all chartreuse Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 17, 2013 Super User Posted July 17, 2013 I mostly use Terminators or War Eagle. Now that War Eagle is selling their skirts separately, you can put the cool War Eagle colors on lots of different brands of spinner baits. Quote
MrSwimJig Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Not real big on spinner baits, but I mainly use Strike King KVD spinner baits, War Eagle and most recently North Star spinner baits. Also want to try Seibert spinner baits. Quote

I just picked up my first baitcast reel and intend to throw spinnerbaits once I get a rod paired with it. Will deffinately be picking up a few of these. Quote

Brian6428 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Booyah spinnerbait, tandem blades, one willow one colorado, one silver one gold. White skirt. My most productive lure to date. Quote
Bassfishing375 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I use 2 types of Spinnerbaits 1. Booyah Hot Wire - Any color 2. Northland Reed Runner - Black It really dosen't matter the weight. 1 Quote
Basseditor Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 It's weird how my favorite spinner bait really isn't very sturdy. The skirts fall off or break apart after a few uses. The wire bends after a big fish and is hard to straighten. And the blades come off the swivels/split rings, or the split rings break. But do they catch fish. It's manufactured by a well-known company so I won't name it. I bought a bunch over the years when I see them on sale. Lots of times I find them for a couple dollars in closeout aisles. Because of the previously mentioned problems, I won't pay $6 for them. The light wire lets the blades really thump. I prefer all gold blades with white/blue/chartruese skirts. 1 Quote

I got tired of throwing spinnerbaits I did not like or that fell apart so I started building them again how I wanted them. 3 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted August 31, 2017 Super User Posted August 31, 2017 Megastrike Strikeback spinnerbait with a Strike King KVD Perfect Plastic Blade Minnow trailer Accounted for this one yesterday A-Jay 3 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted August 31, 2017 Super User Posted August 31, 2017 I use whatever . As long as it has a good swivel, I am not picky . Quote
Super User gim Posted August 31, 2017 Super User Posted August 31, 2017 I almost exclusively use Terminator spinnerbaits because the frame is made of titanium. It doesn't bend or kink when pike smash it. And there are A LOT of pike around these parts. I used to use steel frame ones but realized that after a couple of pike hits, they weren't running correctly in the water because they were all bent up. The Terminator series cost more but they last a lot longer too. 1 Quote
