NC_Bass6 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I have recently discovered that ribbit frogs are great fish catchers in a pond near my house. i love using them but i have a few questions on rigging them. alot of time when i begin the retrieve they will turn upside down. how do i keep this from happening? also, what kind of hook should i use. ive played around with a few different types of hooks and have not found one that i really like with the bait. any help is appreciated, thanks Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Try this..... http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/121496-ribbit-frog-weighted-or-weightless/ Quote
Kevin22 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I love ribbits also! They are fish catching machines. To fix the upside down mess I have started using 1/16 weighted shank gamakatsu EWG hooks. The weighted twistlock is a better option, but I picked up a crap ton of the gamas on sale so that is what I use. If it does somehow land upside down, one quick pop of the rod tip rights it. Quote
