lox has been good and should be even better with all this water. moving water and eel grass are key.

The water temp was 80 when started, 86 when we left. It's been rainy and cloudy for two days, so water should stay pretty cool.

Bruce, I think I saw your partner Mike out there Sunday.  Were you with him in the Lake and Bay?

 

I lost what I am pretty sure would have been my PB that day.  I stuck this fish hard...my 805 bent in half.  She bucked a couple times and got off.  About 2 seconds later she stuck her head out of the water, mouth open shaking it back and forth a couple times.  Her head was about as big around as my boat's steering wheel.  I was sick for about an hour.

Nice one BocaBasser!! Was that on a swim jig? or something else?

swim jig. just ripping it through the eel grass. she hammered it! thats an 8 pound head om a 6 pound body. super skinny

So is it pointless to go out to lox without a boat? I've heard that the only place you can bank fish is at the pier and boat ramp. This true or are there other spots?
