GADawgs Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I live in the Downingtown/West Chester area and usually fish on Marsh Creek or French Creek. I have just got back into bass fishing after about a 8 year hiatus. I am a shore fisherman primarily and will be looking into buying a small boat in the next year or so. I am trying to locate other spots to fish but I am not really having luck figuring out how to locate new areas and small ponds that are close to me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start finding different areas to fish or does anyone know any places in the area to fish? Thanks in advance for any help! Chris Quote
DelcoSol Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I hear ya. I live in Delco and am familiar with Chester county. Seems like all of the good spots are far away. Have you fished Struble? I have not but have heard some good things. Maybe check out the Chester County Bass Masters club and join as a rider. Good bunch of guys mostly fish in MD though. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted July 19, 2013 Super User Posted July 19, 2013 You haven't tried the schuylkill river? Tons of info all of the web Quote
Megastink Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I live in Telford, about an hour away. There are several productive lakes and ponds up this way. Message me if you're ever looking for a partner! Quote
Megastink Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I tell ya, if you're gonna get a small boat, you should consider towing it to Northern Chesapeake bay and fishing the Anchor Marine area. You don't need to run, and it's full of bass! I mean big ones! Quote
