With the river flooded and the water looking like chocolate milk it's been slow for me with the river fishing and smallmouth. Since it hasn't rained around here for a few days I figured I'd hit one of my favorite spots. A drainage pipe that feeds into the river. Well the action was on. I literally had a fish, bite, or chaser on almost every cast. Below are some of the more noteables size or color wise. I caught them all except the two in the dark on that new havoc Ike jerk. Which might become my new back up to the fluke

Please pardon the poor picture quality. I guess I have shaky hands and was trying to get them back ASAP. These guys were a ton of fun on my light action rod and in the current were fighting like mad and giving the drag a good work out. Thanks for looking :)

I have a spot similar to that on a small creek but it's all hybrids, no smallies in our creeks unfortunately :(. Got to keep little spots like that under wraps or you'll have folks crawling all over that probably won't be as kind as you were to the fish. Good job!

Unfortunately this spot is not immune to the dreaded bucket fisherman that keep every fish they catch regardless of size or season but somehow it still produces.
