Iv noticed this at my walmart also.. The boxes say "bait bonanza". They have a lot of yum, bomber, heddon, etc. Seems like theyve been there forever.

A couple other sales also, hit up dicks for some cheap line. Seaguar red label for $6, sufix siege for $5, 1/4lb spools of big game for $5.

Went to gander and they had yamamoto senkos in 4" and 5" for $4.25 a pack.

I always hear people talk about Ganders fishing selection, but the one closest to me has nothing related to fishing. Do only select stores carrie fishing products?

Their moto is hunt fish camp. I thought all of them had fishing stuff? Probably 1/4 of the store is fishing stuff here. 1/8 hunting, 1/8 camping, and 1/2 clothing/shoes. I have never seen the clearance baits there before, just the bins in the middle. These were on the end of 4 aisles on the back side. Wouldnt have ever seen them except I had to cut through to get around some people blocking the main way. They had some terminator jigs and other stuff there too but I wasnt really in need of anything else.

Ill go check my store out to see if they carry anything. Its a new store.. Hasnt been there for half a year yet. I havent been there in a while, they may actually have some stuff now.

It's funny, I LOVE Wal Mart ! Shop there every week. But I typically walk right by the the fishing section. On the rare occasion that I need some kind of tackle, its usually some kind of speciality stuff (I'm picky as $#$%) that I have to get from a big, full blown tackle shop.... or the Internet.

They are so hit or miss for me.  I've seen the deals in some and seen some that didn't have anything on sale.  I would like to find some puppies and spook jrs for $1....

We have had a Gander Mountain in Winston-Salem, NC for a year or so.  It has a very small fishing section.  it is all hunting.  I think they have more knives than they do rods and reels :)

I hear people talk about fishing stuff at WM but i can never find anything I want.  I did buy a Jitterbug there a week or so ago.  I wanted a Carolina keeper after watching glenn's video.  Not there.  I wanted to try some of those small snaps for attaching crankbaits, ( I can;t think of what they are called).  Not there.  I wanted some tungsten 1/2 oz sinkers for C-rig.  Not there.

I always walk through that section but I never find much.

had a long list of things i wanted from wal mart, went there and these dual snaps were the ONLY thing on my list they had!  However, I've been to others where i've seen ridiculous deals and just didn't buy/need at the time.  I guess you just have to check regularly and buy it when you find it....
