Cody Wilson Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I'm stuck between these two reels. I been comparing them for the last week now I got to make a purchase for the 75 percent discount that run out at ***. I need help pick I hear good about both! Plus are the Powell max football jig pole good? The *** rods Im picking up two of them too the *** Black if I get good reviews on them. Please reply soon got to get this order in before Saturday.... thanks Quote
jherm87 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Either one is a good reel. I prefer my chronarch 50e over my 200, but that's just a profile difference. My lews tournament speed spool casts a mile and is super controllable with the dual brake system. I have three omens and am very happy with them Either way I don't think you can lose. Speaking of a 75% discount, you should message me some details if that's not a typo lol Quote
BaconStealer303 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 The reels are compared all the time here, and and i dont think you can go wrong with either. I own a lews TP and love it. Quote
Cody Wilson Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Lew's must be good just where im from not to many people talk about them! you like the handles? Quote
shootermcbob Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I have both and prefer the shimano. I don't think the Lew's does anything better, and the Shimano fits my hand like it is made for it. Have you handled both reels on the rod you will be using them on??? The feel of the reel in your hand may be the difference maker. Like others said, both make quality products and either choice will be a good one. Quote

What he said, I never used a Lews as I'm living in an area that no one carries them. The Chronarch E series is awesome though...why not wait though for the latest Chronarch to be in stores? While you wait, you can save another 70 dollar difference and get one. 1 Quote
trupp30 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I own both reels, and I prefer the Lew's. I think the Lew's casts better and feels a little better. However, both are really good reels and you can't go wrong with either one. Quote
paul25 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 shimano chronarch. i own three and have fished with a lews also and prefer the chronarch Quote
gramps50 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Can't compare the 2 but I have a Lews Tournament Speed Spool and it is a great reel no complaints with it at all. I also have a Lews Speed Spool is it's a good reel too but does not have the dual braking system. Don't think you can go wrong with the Lews. Quote
Cody Wilson Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Thanks for all the help I order the Lew's pro spool just fell in love with it at local tackle store. Thanks everyone! Quote
